 29er, 420, Laser Radial, RS:X, Nacra 15 - World Sailing Youth World Championship 2016 - Auckland NZL - Final results, three podiums for USA: 420 Boys Gold, Nacra 15 Silver, Laser Boys Bronze In four classes, the winners were known before the last races this morning UTC at the Youth Worlds in Auckland NZL.
Wiley Rogers/Jack Parkin USA had their title already and the interest was on the duel for Silver and Bronze. Ido Bilik/Ofek Shalgi ISR won the last heat and finished 2nd ahead of Fausto Peralta/Martin Arroyo ARG. In the 420 Girls, Julia Szmit/Hanna Dzik POL defended their title of last year. Silver and Bronze went to Alexandra Stalder/Silvia Speri ITA and Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA.
Finishing 3rd in the last race, Crispin Beaumont/Tom Darling GBR replaced Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA, leaders during the whole Championship, on top of the 29er Boys. John Cooley/Simon Hoffmann AUS earned Bronze. In the 29er Girls, Nathasha Bryant/Annie Wilmot AUS were the premature Champions already. The duel for Silver and Bronze went in favour of Aleksandra Melzacka/ Maja Micinska POL one point ahead of Greta and Kate Stewart NZL. Tim Mourniac/Charles Dorange FRA had their Nacra 15 Gold Medals before the start to the last race too. Romain Screeve/Ian Brill USA earned Silver ahead of Henri Demesmaeker/Isaura Maenhaut BEL at equal points
No change on the podium of the Laser-Radial-Boys: Finnian Alexander AUS won with a big advantage on Paolo Giargia ITA. Bronze went to Carrson Pearce USA. In the Radial Girls, Dolores Moreira URU moved up on rank 1 after the final race. Sandra Lulic CRO and Carolina Albano ITA at equal points took Silver and Bronze.
No changes in the RS:X Windsurfers either: Yoav Omer ISR was the premature RS:X Boys champion and Sil Hoekstra NED and Chen Hao Chen CHN earned Silver and Bronze. On the RS:X Girls podium were Emma Wilson GBR Gold, Katy Spychakov ISR Silver and Maria Belen PER Bronze.
Italy, England and France are on top of the Nations' Cup.

No changes occurred on the podium of the Laser-Radial-Boys: Finnian Alexander AUS won with a big advantage on Paolo Giargia ITA. Bronze went to Carrson Pearce USA. In the Radial Girls, Dolores Moreira URU moved up on rank 1 after the final race. Sandra Lulic CRO and Carolina Albano ITA at equal points took Silver and Bronze.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, RS:X, Nacra 15 - World Sailing Youth World Championship 2016 - Auckland NZL - Day 4 The first World Champions are known after today's races: Tim Mourniac/Charles Dorange FRA, finishing 1/3/1 in the Nacra 15, cannot be overtaken in the last race tomorrow. For Dorange, this is the third Youth Worlds Gold Medal, as he was first in the two previous multihull event sailed on the SL-16 Cat. Ugolini/Giubilai ITA (47 Pkt.), Screve/Brill USA (48 Pkt.) and Demesmaeker/Maenhout BEL (51 Pkt) will fight for Silver and Bronze.
Overall winners are also Nathasha Bryant/Annie Wilmot AUS in the 29er Girls. Alexandra Melzacka/Maja Micinska POL and 2 points back Greta and Kate Stewart NZL will duel for the remaining two medals. In the 29er Boys, Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA have to defend the frist place agains Crispin Beaumont/Tom Darling GBR in the last race. John Cooley/Simon Hoffmann AUS are on a safe way to Bronze.
In the 420 Boys, the title will most probably go to Wiley Rogers/Jack Parkin USA 12 points ahead of Ido Bilik/Ofek Shalgi ISR and Fausto Peralta/Martin Arroyo ARG 2 points more fighting for Silver. 8 points is the advantage of Julia Szmit/Hannah Dzik POL on Alexandra Stalder/Silvia Speri ITA in the 420 Girls. Olivia Belda/Marina Arndt BRA moved up on rank 3.

On a safe way to the title is Emma Wilson GBR in the RS:X Girls with an 11 points' advantage on Katy Spychakov ISR. Yue Tan CHN and Maria Belen PER follow at equal points on the 3rd position.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, RS:X, Nacra 15 - World Sailing Youth World Championship 2016 - Auckland NZL - Day 3 Favorable conditions prevailed also on the third day of the Youth Worlds in Auckland and the program of today has already been completed.
In the 420 Boys, the situation remains open. Wiley Rogers/Jack Parkin USA stay on top, but Edoardo Ferraro/Francesco Orlando ITA are only one point behind, and Ido Bilik/Ofek Shalgi ISR with a 4 points' backlog have also still an option on the title. Julia Szmit/Hanna Dzik POL reclaimed the first place in the 420 Girls 4 points ahead of Alexandra Stalder/Silvia Speri ITA.
Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA lead in the 29er Boys 5 points in front of Crispin Beaumont/Tom Darling GBR. Natasha Bryant/Annie Wilmot AUS extended their lead in the 29er Girls on 9 points. Greta and Kate Stewart NZL are the new first challengers.
Tom Mourniac/Charles Dorange FRA continue with their series of top-3 results and have now a 15 points' lead already. Winning all three heats of the day, Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilei ITA advanced on rank 2 overall.
Finnian Alexander AUS won both races in the Laser Radial Boys and extended his lead on 18 points. Patrick Doepping DEN and George Gautrey NZL follow at equal points on rank 2. Sandra Lulic CRO remains first in the Laser Radial Girls 2 points ahead of Dolores Moreira URU. Hannah Anderssohn GER, 6 points behind, has still an option on the title.
In the RX:S Boys Windsurfers, Yoav Omer ISR is on a solid track to the title after having won 6 of the 9 races completed so far and an advantage on Sil Hoekstra NED of 19 points. With 13 points, the cushion of Emma Wilson GBR on the persuers in the RS:X Girls Windsurfers - Katy Spychakov ISR and Maria Belen PER - is comfortable as well.
The leading trio in the Nations' Cup are GBR, FRA and ITA. USA are 6th, MEX 27th and CAN 29th.

In the 420 Girls, Kathryn Hall/Ashton Borcherding USA are first one point ahead of Isabel Davies/Gemma Keers GBR. On top of the 29ers Boys after three races are Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA. In the 29ers Girls, Natasha Bryant/Annie Wilmot AUS are on rank 1. Tim Mourniac/Charles Dorange FRA extended their lead in the Nacra 15 on 10 points. Despite of a moderate day, Patrick Doepping DEN defended the first place in the Laser Radial Boys, but George Gautrey NZL and Dominik Perkovic CRO are not far behind. Despite of a moderate day, Patrick Doepping DEN defended the first place in the Laser Radial Boys, but George Gautrey NZL and Dominik Perkovic CRO are not far behind. Carrson Pierce USA is 6th, Leopoldo Seifert MEX 26th, Matti Muru CAN 29th.
In the Radial Girls, Sandra Lulic CRO has taken the lead. Dolores Moreira URU and Hannah Anderssohn GER follow on the ranks 2 and 3. Sophia Reineke USA is 13th, Lauren Sullivan CAN 27th, Paula Pelayo MEX 41st.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, RS:X, Nacra 15 - World Sailing Youth World Championship 2016 - Auckland NZL - Day 1 The World Sailing Youth World Championship 2016 began this morning on Hauraki Gulf / Auckland in a fresh 17 to 20 kn breeze. 389 participants from 65 are on the entry list. All classes sailed two or three races.
In the 420 Boys, Fausto Peralta/Martin Arroyo ARG and Edoardo Ferraro/Francesco Orlando ITA share the lead at equal points. Wiley Rogers/Jack Parkin USA follow as 3rd. 25 teams sailing. In the 420 Girls, three teams are tied on top: Julia Szmit/Hannah Dzik POL, Kathryn Hall/Ashton Borcherding USA and Alexandra Stalder/Silvia Speri ITA with 6 points each. 21 teams sailing.
The 29ers completed 3 heats and Alexander Gronblom/Martin Mikkola FIN lead in the Boys fleet ahead of John Cooley/Simon Hoffmann AUS and Gwendal Nael/Lilian Mercier FRA. With the ranks 1/1/2, Hannah Bristow/Emily Covell GBR dominated the 29er Girls with Sirre Kronlof/Veera Hokka FIN and Nathasha Bryant/Annie Wilmot AUS as first challengers.
For the first time, the Nacra 15 replace the SL-16-catamarans in the open multihull event. Tim Mourniac/Charles Dorange FRA lead ahead of Jackson Keon/Tom Fyfe NZL and Henri Demesmaeker/Isaura Maenhaut BEL.
Two race wins for Patrick Doepping DEN in the Laser Radial Boys leading ahead of George Gautrey NZL and Jakup Rodziewicz POL tied on rank 2. 57 participants. In the Radial Girls, Maria Erdi HUN is on top ahead of Sandra Luli CRO and Hannah Andersohn GER. 46 starters.
In the RS:X Boys Windsurfers, Mack Van den Eerenbeemt ARU is first with the day ranks 1/1/2 one point ahead of Yoav Omer ISR. Sil Hoekstra NED is 3rd. Emma Wilson GBR and Maria Belen PER are jointly on top of the RS:X Girls Windsurfers. Aimee Hoff NED follows as 3rd.
