The 300 nm long-distance race of the Solo Maitre Coq Regatta at the French Atlantic Coast was concluded yesterday morning with the victory of Nicolas Lunven FRA securing herewith his overall win. Sébastien Simon FRA and Jérémy Beyou FRA completed the podium. Justine Mettraux SUI finished on the 22nd final position.

The long-distance race at the Solo Maitre Coq is in its final phase this morning. At press deadlne, Nicolas Lunven FRA was only 29 nm before the arrival with his immediate challengers Sébastien Simon FRA and Erwan Tabarly FRA only one, resp. 3 nm back, and the outcome is fully open. Justine Mettraux SUI advanced on rank 21 with a 15 nm backlog on the leader.

The 40 Bénéteau Solo-Skipper at the "Solo Maitre Coq" regatta started yesterday to their 300 nm longdistance race. The fleet made good progress and the first boats have allready completed half of the distance. Nicolas Lunven FRA leads closely followed by Sébastien Simon FRA and Erwan Tabarly FRA. With a 4 nm backlog, Justine Mettraux SUI (Volvo Race 'Team Magenta' member) was on rank 21 this morning.

Layday yesterday in Les Sables d'Olonne FRA after two days with short races. Today Wednesday, the start to the two days' 350 miles long-distance race will be given. First after the three short races sailed so far is Pierre Quiroga FRA ahead of Anthony Marchand FRA.

An overcast sky and fresh winds of up to 30 kn in the gusts prevailed on the second day of the Solo Maitre Coq, and a coastal race was completed won by Adrien Hardy FRA. Overall leader remains Pierre Quiroga FRA with Jérémy Beyou FRA and Anthony Marchand FRA on rank 2 at equal points.

Yesterday, the single-hander class Bénéteau Figaro started to the 'Solo Maître Coq' regatta in Les Sables d'Olonne FRA with two short races. Four short coastal races are on the program till Thursday, when the start to the two-days' long-distance race will be given.
Light winds prevailed yesterday during the short races with Nicolas Lunven FRA and Pierre Quiroga FRA as race winners.
