 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 4 - Day 3, Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) 7th overall The Solitaire 2017 was concluded yesterday in Dieppe FRA in a fresh reaching breeze after four days in difficult light winds on the English Channel. Charlie Dalin FRA was the winner of the 4th and last leg. Nicolas Lunven FRA grasped his second Solitaire victory ahead of Adrien Hardy FRA and Charlie Dalin FRA. Justine Mettraux SUI on 'Teamwork' (Magenta Project) finished her second Solitaire as best woman on the excellent 7th place overall.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 4 - Day 3 The fleet sailing under spi is now progressing rapidly direction Dieppe FRA in a fresh breeze after four light-wind days and will arrive around 7h UTC. The leading boats are still closely together with Charlie Dalin FRA on first 0,5 nm ahead of Sébastien Simon FRA and 0,7 nm in front of Alexis Loison FRA. With a 2,1 nm backlog, the best woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) was still on the 8th position.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 4 - Day 3 A fresh wind filled in during the crossing of the English Channel after the very light winds during the first hours of leg 4. The fleet made good progress and is sailing East along the English South Coast after having rounded the Wolf Rock on the most Southwestern point of England. Alexis Loison FRA was new on rank 1 this morning 0,5 nm ahead of Charlie Dalin FRA on rank 2. Thierry Chabagny FRA advanced on rank 3. Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) was up on rank 9 only 2 nm behind the leader.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 4 - Day 2 Lulls all-over on the Atlantic Ocean yesterday again and the 43 Solo-Skippers progressed very slowly only in the 3-8 kn wind and the tide current. This morning, the closely packed fleet was about to cross the Channel to the most Southwestern point of England and back to Dieppe FRA.
Charlie Dalin FRA had a 0,5 nm lead on Sébastien Simon FRA this morning. Another 0,3 nm behind is Adrien Hardy FRA on rank 3. The first woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) is up on rank 12 with a deficit of only 1,4 nm on the leader.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 4 - Day 1 Yesterday was the start to the final leg of the 2017 Bénéteau Solitaire off Concarneau FRA. Very light winds and a strong counter current slowed down the fleet considerably. This morning, the leader Alexis Loison FRA was only 0,1 nm ahead of Anthony Marchand FRA and Charlie Dalin FRA sailing neck-and-neck on rank 2. With only one nm backlog, The best-ranked woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) was on rank 13.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 3 - Final results Yesterday afternoon, the 2017 Solitaire was concluded with the third and last leg of only 180 nm. Nicolas Lunven FRA finished first 6 minutes ahead of Gildas Mahé FRA. Another 7 minutes later followed Adrien Hardy FRA as 3rd. Justine Mettraux SUI could slightly improve her ranking and crossed the finishline as 17th with a 44 minutes backlog.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 3 - Day 1 Since yesterday afternoon, the 43 solo skipper fleet has been underway around the Breton islands in leg 3 of the Solitaire. Light winds and the strong current make sailing tactically very challenging. This morning, Nicolas Lunven FRA was first 0,2 nm ahead of Adrien Hardy FRA 2nd, as well as Gildas Mahé FRA on 3rd. The backlog of Justine Mettraux SUI was 2,5 nm, ranked 22nd in the closely packed fleet.,

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 3 - Start today The start to leg 3 of the Solitaire over 120 nm around the Bretagne islands will be given today in Concarneau.  Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Concarneau FRA - Leg 2 - Day 4, with Justine Mettraux SUI, Magenta Project Yesterday, the fleet reached the finish line of Leg 2 of the Solitaire off Concarneau FRA, shortened because of the very light winds, closely together. Adrien Hardy FRA was first 45 sec ahead of Erwan Tabarly FRA. Another 50 sec back was Nicolas Lunven FRA 3 on 3rd. With a backlog of 27 minutes, the best woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) finished 13th.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Gijon ESP - Leg 2 - Day 2 Light and unconstant winds prevailed also on the second day of leg 2 of the Solitaire. However, the westerly breeze allowed the fleet to head directly on the port of call Concarneau FRA. The leading Sébastien Simon FRA is still over 300 nm from the arrival. With very small gaps between the boats, the final outcome will only be decided in the approach to the finish line. 1,5 nm behind Simon follows Martin Le Pape FRA, Pierre Quiroga FRA 3 is 0,7 nm back. The best women Justine Mettraux SUI is still well positioned on rank 9 with a 4,5 nm deficit.

 Bénéteau Figaro - La Solitaire - Gijon ESP - Leg 2 - Day 1 Yesterday by noon, the start to leg 2 of the Solitaire was given in Gijon ESP, direction Concarneau FRA. The conditions are very light and the first boats had covered only 47 nm by this morning. Sébastien Simon FRA was in the lead 0,5 nm ahead of Pierre Quiroga FRA. The best woman Justine Mettraux SUI (Magenta Project) was 2,5 nm back on the 9th place in the 43 boats' fleet.
