 GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series, Act 7 - San Diego CA, USA - Final results, USA teams backmarkers 'SAP Extreme Sailing' with Adam Minoprio NZL steering defended her lead on the final day of the San Diego Act of the Extreme Sailing Series 2017 winning 10 points ahead of 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI. The Danes extended the lead in the overall Series rankings on 5 points on 'Oman Air' (4th in San Diego) and a modest performance at the last Act in Mexico will be sufficent to win the annual championship. 'Alinghi' on 3rd overall is 6 points back.

'SAP Extreme Sailing' with Adam Minoprio NZL dominated as on the day before with 4 race wins and 2 seconds' taking the overall lead with a 14 points' lead on 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI. A fresher breeze prevailed yesterday at the 7th Act of the Extreme Sailing Series in San Diego. Six spectacular races were held, treating the crowds to plenty of foiling action and hair-raising nosedives. A solid four bullets, a second and a third from the Danish 'SAP Extreme Sailing Team' with Adam Minoprio NZL steering saw it climb a spot to second. 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI remains by the smallest margin on top. 'Oman Air' withj Phil Robertson NZL moved up on rank 3. 'Land Rover BAR Academy' with Ben Ainslie GBR could not keep the speed of the experienced GC32 team and is down on rank 4. 'Team Extreme San Diego' with Morgan Larson USA remains on rank 6.

 GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series, Act 7 - San Diego CA, USA - Day 1 Act 7 of the Extreme Sailing Series began in San Diego yesterday in light winds with 6 races. 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI dominated the day with two race wins and three second places. Only Ben Ainslie GBR and his 'BAR Academy' could more or less keep the pace of the leaders, but in the last race with dying winds, they did not make the finish line.
