 470 - Junior World Championship 2019 - Portoroz SLO - Final results, Gold for Italy and Germany, Davis/Bornarth USA 17th The 470 Junior World Championship 2019 in Slovenia was concluded yesterday with the Medal Races. ----- In the 470 men, the two remaining medals behind the premature Champions Giacomo Ferrai/Giulio Calabro ITA went to Germany with Daniel Göttlich/Linus Klasen GER on 2nd and the winners of the Medal Race Lucas Schlüter/Frederik Eichhorst GER on 3rd. The final ranks of the North Americans are Trevor Davis/Trevor Bornarth USA 17th, Max Anker/Walter Henry USA 47th and Josh Yale/Michael Montagnese CAN 48th among the 53 teams. ----- No change on top of the podium in the 470 women with Luise and Helene Wanser GER grasping the title ahead of Paola Amar/Marine Riou FRA and Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER.  470 - Junior World Championship 2019 - Portoroz SLO - Day 5 - Ferrari/Calabro ITA premature winners, Davis/Bornarth USA are 17th Giacomo Ferrari/Giulio Calabro ITA, winning the last two races (8 bullets in 11 races) before the Medal Race of today Sunday, are the premature 470 Junior World Champions with a 24 point lead on Daniel Göttlich/Linus Klasen GER. The Germans are on a solid way to Silver with an 18 point advantage on Alexandre Demange/Paco Lepoutre FRA on 3rd. ----- The final ranks of the North Americans are Trevor Davis/Trevor Bornarth USA 17th, Max Anker/Walter Henry USA 47th and Josh Yale/Michael Montagnese CAN 48th among the 53 teams. ----- In the 470 Junior women, Luise and Helene Wanser GER won both races yesterday and their advantage on Paola Amar/Marine Riou FRA is now 13 points. Another 19 points back follow Alexandre Demange/Paco Lepoutre FRA on rank 3. Considering the huge point gaps, it might well be that the Medals will be decided this evening already before the Medal Race of tomorrow.  470 - Junior World Championship 2019 - Portoroz SLO - Day 3, Davis/Bornarth USA on 20th best North American After two light-wind days, the Finals, sailed by the men in a Gold- and Silverfleet, began in Slovenia yesterday with three races held in a fresh Ora breeze of 16 to 25kn, all won by Giacomo Ferrari/Giulio Calabro ITA, extending their overall lead. Daniel Göttlich/Linus Klasen GER advanced on rank 2, the Mixed team Maria Marchesini/Bruno Festa ITA stayed on the 3rd place. Trevor Davis/Trevor Bornarth USA lost 10 places and are now on rank 20. Max Anker/Walter Henry USA are 45th, Josh Yale/Michael Montagnese CAN 48th among the 53 teams. ----- Luise and Theresa Wanser GER remained on top of the 470 women ahead of Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER new on the 2nd place. Paola Amar/Marine Riou FRA kept the 3rd rank. Emily Bornarth/Laura Slovensky USA remain on 10th among the only 12 teams. The Mixed-Team Maria Marchesini/Bruno Festo ITA follows on 3rd. Trevor Davis/Trevor Bornarth USA occupy the remarkable rank 10.
