 A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Final results Mischa Heemskerk NED is the superior winner of the A-Cat Open (Foiler) Division World Championship in Weymouth GBR ahead of Dave Shaw NZL and Timoteusz Bendyk POL. Bruce Maloney USA followed as 6th. After a slow start to the event, Phil Robertson NZL (Matchracing World Champion, SailGP China F50 and GC32 helmsman, and more ..) finshed on the ranks 2 and 1 on the last day advancing on rank 10 overall. ----- In the Classic Division, Andrew Landenberger AUS defended his first place ahead of Scott Anderson AUS and Andy Landenberger AUS, the son of the World Champion, taking Bronze and the Junior title. ------- With a 15kn breeze, the sailing conditions were again excellent on the last day of the Championship. ----- The ranking list and the event facebook page with videos and photos.

Winning both races yesterday, he is the superior overall leader ahead of Manuel Calavia ESP and Dave Shaw NZL.  A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Day 4, dominating Heemskerk NED, Mahoney USA down on 7th after UFD Mischa Heemskerk NED won all three Foiling division races held at the A-Cat Worlds in Weymouth yesterday in a fresher breeze. His lead on the second-ranked Manuel Calavia ESP is now already 24 points. Dave Shaw NZL is new on rank 3. ----- A UFD (premature start under U-flag disqualification) relegated Bruce Mahoney USA on the 7th place, as he has to count now the failed first race (rank 38) and is out of the race for Medals. ----- In the Classics division, Andrew Landenberger AUS won both races taking the overall lead ahead of Scott Anderson AUS and Andy Landenberger AUS tied on the ranks 2 and 3. ----- The ranking lists and the event facebook page.

 A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Day 3, Heemskerk NED new on top, Maloney USA 2nd Back to normal on top of the Foiler rankings with the discard activated as Mischa Heemskerk NED, having started the Worlds with a last rank, has taken the lead with the day ranks 1 and 2. Bruce Mahoney USA follows 14 points behind on rank 2. Manual Calavia ESP is up on 3rd. ----- No change on top of the Classics with Andy Landenberger AUS as first followed by his father Andrew Landenberger AUS on 2nd.  A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Day 2, progress for the favorites, Mahoney USA now 17th overall Timoteusz Bendyk POL defended his first place in the only race of the Foilers, but James Wierzbowski AUS reduced his backlog on 2 points. Nils Palmieri SUI finished 14th and remained on the 3rd place overall. The favorites were on the way up yesterday with the day ranks 1 for Manuel Calavia ESP, 2 for Mischa Heemskerk NED, 4 for Bruce Mahoney USA (new on 17th overall) and 10 for Steve Brewin AUS (= 5th overall). ----- The Classics completed two races with the Junior Andy Landenberger AUS taking the overall lead with the ranks 2 and 6, one point ahead of the tied Hugh McGregor GBR and Alberto Farnesi SWE on the ranks 2 and 3. ----- The ranking lists and the event facebook page with videos.

 A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Day 1, light wind race with favorites down in the ranks, Mahoney USA only 36th The winds on the 2012 Olympic waters of Weymouth GBR were very light and only one race could be completed. Surprising names are therefore on top of the Foilers that were never airborne. Tymoteusz Bendyk POL won the race ahead of Nils Palmieri SUI and Juan-Luis Paez ESP. The speed record holder Paul Larsen AUS (Sailrocket) followed as 5th. The favorites however had a difficult day. Steve Brewin AUS finished 13th, Bruce Mahoney USA 36th and Mischa Heemskerk NED even was the backmarker on rank 60. ----- In the Classic rankings, Hugh McGregor GBR crossed the line as first ahead of Paul Todd ESP and the Landenberger family on 3rd and 4th with son Andy having had the upper hand on father Andrew. ----- The ranking lists, the event website and the event facebook page.

 A-Cat - World Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - first races today with 91 participants Today is day one of the A-Cat World Championship in Weymouth GBR with 91 participants, split in two fleets: the Classics and the Foilers. In absence of the ten-times World Champion and Foiling king Glenn Ashby AUS, Steve Brewin AUS, Mischa Hemskeerk NED and Bruce Mahoney USA, the trio dominating the British Nationals finished three days ago, are the favorites for the Foiler Worlds. In the Classics, Andrew Landenbeger AUS and Scott Anderson AUS will be the ones to defeat. Emmanuel Cerf USA participates as only North American. ----- More sailing notables such as the World Speed Record holder Paul Larsen AUS, the Moth specialist Benoît Marie FRA or the successful GC32 helmsman Phil Robertson NZL are on the entry list. ----- The wind forecast predicts rather light winds until Wednesday. Steve Brewin AUS finished first in the Foils ahead of Mischa Hemskeerk NED. Bruce Mahoney USA followed on 3rd. ----- In the Classics, Scott Anderson AUS was first ahead of Alberto Farnesi ITA and Bruno Biedermann SUI. ----- On Sunday, the World Championship will begin at the same venue. ----- The ranking lists.

 A-Cat - British National Championship 2019 - Weymouth GBR - Day 3, Mahoney USA 3rd After two days ashore because of stormy winds, the first three races of the British A-Cat Nationals - a tune-up race before the Worlds of next week - were sailed in an intial 15kn breeze, increasing to 25kn during the day. ----- In the Foiler Open rankings, Steve Brewin AUS and Mischa Hemskeerk NED are tied on top.
