 Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Final results, no changes on top of the ranking, only 470 women sailed Medal Race The Olympic Test Event in Japan has been concluded yesterday. All but the 470 women Medal Races were abandoned because of insufficient wind. ------ Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA finished first again and are the superior winners in the 470 woman ahead of Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR and Agnieszka Skrzypulec/Jolanta Ogar POL. ----- In the 470 men, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS earned Gold followed by Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE and Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP. Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA are on 4th. ----- Berecz Zsombor HUN was the premature winner in the Finns before the last day already. Nicholas Heiner NED and Giles Scott GBR followed on 2nd and 3rd. ----- Jesper Stalheim SWE finished on top of the Lasers Standard ahead of Tom Burton AUS and Hermann Tomasgaard NOR. ----- In the Lasers Radial, Emma Plaesschart BEL left the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED on rank 2. Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA (470 men), Erika Reineke USA and Sarah Douglas CAN (both Laser Radial) will participate.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 5/Part 1 The races of the day in Japan are over, the first half of the 10 Olympic classes have finished their competitions. As expected Yunxiu Lu CHN was able to hold the top of the RS:X-Windsurf women. Thanks to victory in the Medal Race Charline Picon FRA replaced Katy Spychakov ISR on rank 2. Chinese victory in the RS:X-Windsurfer men as well: Mengfan Gao CHN won ahead of Mattia Camboni ITA and Piotr Myszka POL. In the 49er the Olympic winners Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL won ahead of Lukasz Prszybitek/Pawel Kolodzinski POL and Dylan Fletcher/Stuart Bithell GBR. Changes on the podium of the 49erFX: Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA won gold ahead of Marie Roningen/Helene Naess NOR, Charlotte Dobson/Saskia Tidey GBR fell back to rank 3. Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA remained on the 10th place.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 5/Part 2 The 5 other classes completed yesterday their qualifications for the Medal Races of today. Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA (470 men), Erika Reineke USA and Sarah Douglas CAN (both Laser Radial) will participate in the Medal Races of today. For all other North Americans, the Olympic Test Event came to an end. The results of all North Americans and the US Sailing Report. ---------------------- Here the overview on top-ranked by class: ----- Already overall winner is Berecz Zsombor HUN in the Finns, he leads by 23 points. Nicholas Heiner NED and Giles Scott GBR, who is one point behind, will fight for silver and bronze. ----- Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS are 2 points ahead of Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE in the medal race of the 470 men. Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 4/Part 1 - First medals decided

In Enoshima, the skiffs, windsurfers and Nacras 17 have finished their qualifications for the Medal Races of today. The first medallists are already known: ----- Yunxiu Lu CHN, leading in the RS:X women windsurfers by 17 points has a medal guaranteed. Only Katy Spychakov ISR could replace her on top theoretically. ----- There will probably be a Chinese victory in the RS:X men windsurfers as well, as Mengfan Gao CHN has a solid 16 point lead. ----- In the Nacra-17 catamarans, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA are only 2 points ahead of John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR. ----- In 49ers, the Olympic champions Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL lead with 13 points and the Gold Medal is almost in their hands. ----- In the 49erFX, their will be a fierce duel between Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA and Charlotte Dobson/Saskia Tidey GBR leading by one point only. ----- All rankings.

 Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 4 / Part 2 - five classes will fight for Medal Race slots today The 470s, Laser and Finns will be sailing their last qualifying regattas today. The battle for the top ten is coming to a head and North Americans are deeply involved to make the cut: Erika Reineke and Sarah Douglas CAN are 8th and 9th in the Lasers Radial, Chris Barnard and Charlie Buckingham are 11th and 12th in the Lasers Standard, and Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea are 10th in the 49ersFX. ------------------- Here the overall leaders in the classes concerned.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 4, Windsurfers, Skiffs, Catamarans concluding Medal Race qualifications today Racing has been underway in Japan this morning UTC with the Windsurfers, Nacra 17 and 49er Skiffs concluding the qualifications for the Medal Races of tomorrow. The conditions are similar to yesterday with an initial 10kn wind increasing to 18kn during the day. ----- The preview.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 3, progress for the North Americans with five top-10 interim results Progress was noted for the North American sailors again on the third day of the Olympic test event in Enoshima JPN. ----- Stu McNay/Dave Hughes advanced on rank 6 in the 470 men, Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea entered the top-10 with rank 8 in the 49ersFX, Christopher Barnard is 9th in the Lasers Standard and Erika Reineke on 9th in the Lasers Radial remains in the top-10 as well. ----- To be mentioned the excellent performance of Sarah Douglas CAN jumping on rank 2 in the Lasers Radial. ----- Please find here the full list of all North American results and the US Sailing Team report. ----------------------------- The top-ranks per class after day three are as follows: ----- In the 470 men, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS extended their lead on 5 points. ----- In the 470 women, Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN have taken the lead. ----- As best of the day with the ranks 2/3/2, Jesper Stalheim SWE took the lead in the Lasers Standard. ----- Leader change in the Lasers Radial with Emma Plaesschart BEL, best of the day, on top. ----- As best of the day, Beresz Zsombor HUN moved up on first in the Finns. New on rank 3 is Matthew Wearn AUS. ----- Christopher Barnard USA is 9th, Charlie Buckingham USA 14th and Robert Davis CAN 27th. ----- Leader change in the Laser Radial, with Emma Plaesschart BEL, best of the day, on top. Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 3 - Afternoon update, brilliant Sarah Douglas CAN new 2nd Laser Radial

Contrary to the weak wind forecasts, Enoshima today had a decent, albeit unconstant, Seabreeze between 8 and 15 knots. In half of the classes there was a change of leaders.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 2 - Erika Reineke 6th Laser Radial, Christopher Barnard 7th Lasers Standard, McNay/Hughes 8th 470 men are in top-10s After the rough, windy opening day, light winds prevailed yesterday Sunday in Japan and only a reduced program could be held on day 2 of the Olympic test event in Enoshima JPN. ----- Progress has been made by the North Americans: Christopher Barnard is 4 ranks up on 7th in the Lasers Standard, Stuart McNay/David Hughes advanced on 8th in the 470 men, Erika Reineke stays on 6th and Sarah Douglas CAN on 13th in the Lasers Radial, not to forget Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA as 12th in the 49ersFX.  Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 2, USA sailors in top-10 are Erika Reineke 5th Laser Radial, Luke Miller 8th Finn and McNay/Hughes 10th 470 men Two respectively three races per class were held on the opening day of the Olympic test event in Enoshima JPN in a fresh wind around 20kn and big waves. ----- The results of the North Americans were diverging. In the first half of the small fleets finished the Lasers Standard of Christopher Barnard on 11th and Charlie Buckingham on 15th, Stuart McNay/David Hughes as 10th in the 470 men, Luke Muller as 8th in the Finn, as well as Erika Reineke 5th and Sarah Douglas CAN 11th in the Lasers Radial.  Olympic Classes - Olympic Test-Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 1 - Afternoon update The races of the day in Enoshima are over. With 15-18kn wind, big waves and hot temperatures two races could be sailed in all classes. Apparently there are technical problems on the Event-Website, no results are available yet. Only the Finn class is represented on site by its own journalist: In Finn Berecz Zsombor HUN leads ahead of Nicholas Heiner NED. Nils Theuninck SUI follows on rank 9 of the 22 participants.  Olympic Classes - Olympic Test Event - Enoshima JPN - Day 1 Racing commences today at Ready Steady Toyko - Sailing with 355 athletes from 47 nations. The Canadian and USA Teams are represented with all Olympia candidates. Here the complete North American list of participants . ----- No results and information has been made available this morning UTC at press deadline. First results will be available around noon UTC on the event website. ----- With Typhoon Krosa passing through the island yesterday, today will see extropical cyclone conditions, with relatively strong south-southwesterly winds and waves gradually decreasing throughout the day.----- The official preview and the US Sailing Team facebook page.
