RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Final results - Twice gold for NED, Pedro Pascual (West Palm Beach, FL), and Farrah Hall (Annapolis, MD.) grasp Olympic tickets

 RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Final results - Twice gold for NED, Pedro Pascual (West Palm Beach, FL), and Farrah Hall (Annapolis, MD.) grasp Olympic tickets Kiran Badloe NED and Lilian De Geus NED are the RS:X Windsurfing World Champions 2020 after the Medal Races held in Sorrento AUS, Port Phillip Bay this morning UTC. ------ Badloe defended his lead over the Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED who won the Medal Race and reduced the backlog on 2 points. Thomas Goyard FRA earned the Bronze Medal. ----- Pedro Pascual USA moved on rank 33 ahead of Geronimo Nores USA finishing as 34th. In the Olympic Tokyo trials, Pascual is herewith clearly ahead earning the ticket. Ignacio Berenguer MEX is 52nd. ------. The RS:X men ranking list. ----- In the RS:X women, Lilian De Geus NED won the duel against Noy Driham ISR. Finishing 2nd in the Medal Race, Charline Picon FRA replaced the Israeli on rank 2. ------ The North American women are on the ranks 33 (Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX), 35 (Farrah Hall USA), 36 (Nicola Girke CAN) and 42 (Olivia Mew CAN 42nd).  RS:X-Windsurfer (amended) - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Day 5, Dutch windsurfers in pole positions for the title, race for the USST Olympia ticket remains open Three final fleetraces were sailed this morning UTC to select the ten best for the Medal Races of tomorrow. ----- The RS:X men title will go to the Netherlands in - as in the previous year - a duel between Kiran Badloe NED and Dorian Van Rijsselberghe NED 10 points behind. The trio Shahar Zubari ISR, Thomas Goyard FRA and Pawel Tarnowski POL, separated by 6 points, will fight for the Bronze Medal. ----- Geronimo Nores USA and Pedro Pascual USA are now on the ranks 33rd and 34th, and the fleetraces of the non-medalracers of tomorrow will decided on the Olympic Tokyo ticket. Ignacio Berenguer MEX is 53rd. The RS:X men ranking list. ------ Dutch lead also in the RS:X women with Lilian De Geus NED ahead of the tied Noy Driham ISR, both fighting for the title tomorrow. RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Day 3

 RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Day 3 Three Final Races were held at the RS:X Worlds in Sorrento AUS this morning UTC. With a mixed day - ranks 28/2/27, Geronimo Nores USA moved slightly up on rank 24, as second-best U21 surfer. Pedro Pascual USA remains on rank 32. In the Olympic trials, Pascual was 12 points ahead of Nores before the Championship.Ignacio Berenguer MEX, sailing in the Silverfleet, lost some ranks and is now 52nd overall. ----- Nicola Girke CAN on rank 33 is the best North American RS:X woman, followed by Farrah Hall USA, 7 ranks down on 35th, followed by Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX 36th and Olivia Mew CAN 42nd. ----- The US Sailing Team Report (scroll down after Laser Radial) as updated. ------------------------------ In the overall rankings after the three Final Races, Noy Drihan ISR defended her lead 4 points ahead of Lilian De Geus NED. Maia Dziarnowska POL remains on rank 3. The best of the day, the Olympic Champion Charline Picon FRA (1/1/6), moved up on rank 7. The RS:X women ranking list. ------ Three RS:X men Final races were sailed in Gold- and Silverfleets this morning UTC as well, and the defending champion Kiran Badloe NED extended his lead with two race wins. Pawel Tarnowski POL remains 25 points behind, and another point back follows Shahar Zubari ISR. Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED on rank 4 keeps also an option on a medal.  RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Day 2, Kieran Badloe NED and Noy Drihan ISR new on top Three more races were completed this morning UTC on a wet and wild day at RS:X Windsurfing World Championships in Sorrento AUS. While Geronimo Nores USA defended his 28th place, Pedro Pascual USA slipped 10 down on rank 33. Ignacio Berenguer MEX is now 48th in the 70 RS:X men fleet. ----- Almost no changes in the RS:X women, where Farrah Hall USA is 28th, Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX 30th, Nikola Girke CAN 35th and Olivia Mew CAN 42nd. ------------------ Overall leader in the RS:X men rankings is now the defending Champion Kieran Badloe NED, day ranks 2/1/1 in his group, with new on the podium places Pawel Tarnowski POL 4 points and Dorian van Rijsselberghe NED 5 points behind. ----- Modifications on the RS:X women top ranks with Noy Drihan ISR with two race wins, replacing Maja Dziarnowska POL on rank 1 now just one point behind.  RS:X-Windsurfer - World Championship 2020 - Sorrento AUS - Day 1, midfleet results for North Americans Three races were completed this morning UTC on the opening day of the RS:X Windsurfing World Championships in Sorrento AUS, and the North Americans are on the positions 23, Pedro Pascual USA, 29 Geronimo Nores USA and 44 Ignacio Berenguer MEX in the 70 RS:X men fleet. Among the 46 RS:X women, Farrah Hall USA is 27th, Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX 31st, Nikola Girke CAN 32nd Olivia Mew CAN 42nd. ------------------ Overall leader in the RS:X men rankings is Pierre Le Coq FRA, day ranks 1/2/1, ahead of Kieran Badloe NED and Thomas Goyard FRA. ----- In absence of the experienced Chinese team, not allowed to enter Australia due to the Corona virus, Maia Dziarnowska POL is leading in the RS:X women, followed by Emma Wilson GBR and Lilian de Geus NED. ----- The event website with ranking lists and the reports and the and the video of the day.

The RS:X Windsurfing World Championship begins today in Sorrento AUS with the practice race. In addtion to the Championship title, Oceania is racing for an Olympic berth, and in both fleets, AUS and NZL will duel for this slot. Important windsurfing nations such as FRA, ISR, NED or POL will select their athletes for the 2020 Tokyo games, as do the USA with Pedro Pascual and Geronimo Nores on the entry list. MEX is represented by Ignacio Berenguer. ----- 70 men and 46 women are on the entry lists, the latter with Farrah Hall USA, Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX as well as Nikola Girke CAN and Olivia Mew CAN representing North America. ----- The preview and the video of the day.
