AC-45 - America's Cup World Series - Napoli ITA - Day 3
Different conditions in the Bay of Naples yesterday with a light breeze from the land and a considerable swell from offshore, quite a challenge for the helmsmen. James Spithill AUS on 'Oracle Racing' mastered these conditions the best finishing twice on rank 2, bringing the AC Defender's team closer to the leading 'Team New Zealand' (Dean Barker NZL). The backlog has melted to 5 points. 'Luna Rossa' with Chris Draper GBR remains on the 3rd place, 'Team Korea' (Nathan Outteridge AUS) defended rank 4. Thanks to a race win, the French 'Energy' with Yann Guichard FRA advances on rank 5 at equal points with rank 4.
The two Match Races of the day went to 'Artemis' (defeating 'Team New Zealand') and the second 'Luna Rossa'-team with Paul Campbell-James GBR (defeating 'Energy'). The repört, the Rangliste and the video of the day.
