Laser Radial - ISAF Youth World Championship 2015 - Langkawi MAS - Day 2

The 2015 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Langkawi Malaysia, with 76 nations one of the largest sporting event in the World, began yesterday, blessed with a 20-25 kn wind. Here the video of the first day. All classes were sailing except the SL-16-catamarans, whose container with the boats did not yet arrive in Langkawi ! Today's racing is already underway in a good 18 kn breeze, and a challenging day is ahead.
Alistair Young AUS took the lead in the Lasers Radial Boys on the opening day and defended this place today with two bullets. Within an 8 to 10 points backlog follow Nicholas Baird USA, Oskari Muhonen FIN, Geore Gautrey NZL and Kirill Eveimyevskiy RUS. Pedro L. Fernandez PUR follows on the good 7th place, Matti Muru CAN is 32nd, Leopoldo Seifert MEX 54th and Colin Brego ISV 66th.
First in the Laser Radial Girls is Magdalena Kwasna POL, 4 points ahead of Maria Erdi HUN at equal points with the 3rd Hanna Andersohn GER. Alexandra Nightingale NZL on 4th is only one point behind. Christina Sakellaris USA is 16th, Coralie Vittecoq CAN 21st, Paige Clarke ISV 40th and , Paula Pelayo MEX 53rd.
