Classic Palma thermal conditions with a 12-15kn Southwind prevailed on the second day of the Final Series at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia. Today, two more races are on the program, and tomorrow follow the Medal Races of the best 10.
In the Lasers Standard, Matthew Wearn AUS is now the clear leader with an 18 points' advantage on Sam Meech NZL. Tonci Stipanovic CRO is still on rank 3. The best North American Christopher Barnard USA on rank 10 has a fair chance to make the Medal Race.
A leader change occurred in the Lasers Radial: Anne-Marie Rindom DEN is now 8 points ahead of Marit Bouwmeester NED, who suffered a black-flag disqualification yesterday. Alison Young GBR on the 3rd place is already 28 points behind. Paige Railey USA, 10 points ahead of rank 11, should be able to keep the top-10 result in view of tomorrow's Medal Race.
