Fresh winds around 18 kn prevailed on the fourth day of the Trofeo Princesa Sofia.
Andrew Maloney NZL extended his lead in the Lasers Standard on 14 points with the day ranks 2 nd 6. Kristian Ruth NOR remains on the 2nd place, but Tonci Stipanovic CRO, Julio Alsogaray ARG and Robert Scheidt BRA are not far behind. Today, the last fleetraces are on the program before tomorrow's Medal Race. The qualifcations for the top-10 remain exciting as the ranks 10 (Colin Cheng SIN) to 14 are separated by 5 points only. Charlie Buckingham USA lost some positions and is now 7th, still on a safe place for the Medal Race. Bowers USA is 25th, Davies CAN 28th, Chris Barnard USA 29th and Mclaughlin CAN 42nd.
Anne-Marie Rindom DEN slightly extended her lead in the Lasers Radial with another bullet. Tuula Tenkanen FIN on the 2nd place ist now 5 points back. Evi Van Acker BEL descended on rank 3. The fight for the Medal Race will be fierce also in the Radials, as Mathilde de Kerangeat FRA on the 9th position is only 7 points ahead of Elisabeth Yin SIN on rank 13. Bowskill CAN is 29th, Douglas CAN 37th.
