Laser Radial & Standard - U21- World Championship 2017 - Nieuwpoort BEL - Final results

The Laser U21 World Championship in Nieuwpoort BEL was concluded yesterday with two races sailed in moderate winds.
In the Lasers Standard, Joel Rodriguez ESP defended his first place by a small margin. Jonathan Vadnai HUN won the last race and joined the leader point-wise, but with five race wins. Rodriguez remained on top. The Bronze medal went to Daniel Whiteley GBR.
An undisputed victory however was to note in the Lasers Radial where the Hungarian Olympian Maria Erdi won 6 of the 10 races grasping the Worlds title 13 points ahead of Hannah Anderssohn GER, rank 2 and winner of the U18 classification. Bronze went to Magdalena Kwasna POL. The best of the day Louise Cervera FRA (1/3) new on 4th reduced the backlog to the podium to 4 points.
