Mini 650 - Mini-Transat - Las Palmas ESP - Leg 2

Tomorrow, the start to the second leg of the Mini-Transat will be given on Gran Canaria. The 84 participants spent the past 10 days to recover and relax as well of course some maintenance and repair work on their boats. The wind forecast promises rather moderate conditions for the Atlantic crossing with not too strong trade winds. With the top boats in both categories closely together - the Protos with Ian Lipinski POL leading and Series Minis with Valentin Gautier SUI on first - the present rankings are of little significance for the outcome of the race considering the twice as long second leg.
