 Laser  Olympic Worldcup 2018  Olympic Classes Regatta  Miami FL, USA  Day 3, Buckingham USA 9th to fight for tomorrow's Medal Race
The two races held on Biscayne Bay yesterday, the first day with a fresh 18-20kn breeze, provoked a number of changes in the rankings.
Emma Plaetschart BEL is the new leader in the Lasers Radial, thanks to the discard of the worst result. Manami Doi JPN on rank 2 is already 22 points behind. Winning both races, Allison Young GBR moved up on the 6th place.
In the Lasers Standard, Tom Burton AUS remained on top. New on the 2nd position is the best of yesterday Philipp Buhl GER (ranks 1/7) with the discard in effect. His backlog on Burton is 10 points. Nick Thompson GBR on 3rd follows closely behind.
Today, the last two Qualification Races are on the program before tomorrow's Medal Races. With the World Champion Pavlos Kontides CYP on rank 11 (one point behind rank 10) and Tonci Stipanovic CRO as 13th (8 points behind rank 10), two top favorites will struggle for the Medal Race cut, where Charlie Buckingham USA on 9th has fight to stay within.

- Laser Standard: Charlie Buckingham USA 9th, Robert Davis 22nd, Yanic Gentry MEX 54th
- Laser Radial: Paige Railey USA 15th, Isabella Bertold CAN 16th
