Laser Radial - Youth World Championship 2018 - Kiel GER - Final results - 3x Gold for Italy

The Laser Radial Youth Worlds were concluded yesterday with a last race sailed in light winds. Italy won both titles and in addition the first place in the U17-Boys rankings.
Despite of a 34th race rank, Matilda Talluri ITA remained on top of the Girls winning the title with a 12 points' advantage on Matilda Bicholls GBR. Bronze went to Ana Moncada ESP. The U17-winner is Alexa Schonrock GBR as 9th. Lilian Meyers USA is 5th among the 96 participants.
Guido Gallinaro ITA is the new World Champion in the Boys. Finishing 6th in the final race, he extended his lead on 26 points. Josh Armit NZL earned Silver, Francesco Viel ITA followed on rank 3. The 6th-ranked Cesare Arabino ITA won the U17-title. The best USA and CAN helmsmen had a mediocre day and both lost some places. Asher Zitterer USA was 8 ranks down on 14th, Dale Whitmore CAN dropped even 16 places and finished 61st overall among the 269 starters.
