The 24-hour Solo Race of the 'Défi Azimut' sailed in good 20kn wind conditions was concluded yesterday. After rounding the virtual waypoint on the Atlantic Ocean, the fleet was speeding back to France on along reaching leg.
The leading Samantha Davies GBR sailing at top speeds of 26,5kn could not defend her first place, as Vincent Riou FRA passed as fast as 29kn and won the race with a 7 min advantage. On rank 3 followed Yann Eliès FRA, he too on a Foiler-Open-60.
