Light winds again during the second part of the Miami Olympic Classes Medal Races yesterday.
The North American participants finished the MOCR quite successfully with top-10 finishers in 7 of the 10 events, including two podiums with Paige Railey 2nd Laser Radial and Luke Muller 3rd Finn.

Here the summary concerning the overall results after the Sunday races:
No changes on the podium of the 470 men with Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP on top ahead of Dahlberg/Bergström SWE and Ichino/ Hasegawa JPN. The outcome in the 470 women however was very close, as the two German teams Frederike Löwe/Anna Markfort GER and Fabienne Oster/Anastasiya Winkel GER - new names on the top positions - were finally separated by 2 points only. Another 2 points back followed Oliveira/Barbachan BRA on 3rd.
Max Salminen SWE stayed in the lead of the Finns in front of the Medal Race winner Oskari Muhonen FIN who moved up on rank 2. Luke Muller USA finished 3rd.
In the Lasers Radial, the winner Dongshuang Zhang CHN controlled the 2nd-ranked Paige Railey USA, the only remaining opponent for victory, during the whole race, sailing her down the fleet. Vasileia Karachaliou GRE defended her 3rd place. In the Lasers Standard, the outstanding winner Hermann Tomasgaard NOR was known long before. All he did was finish the Medal Race - on the last place - but his advantage remained nevertheless at 47 points (!). Sam Meech NZL solidly on rank 2 followed by the Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS on 3rd.
