 ACat  World Championship 2019  Weymouth GBR  first races today with 91 participants
Today is day one of the A-Cat World Championship in Weymouth GBR with 91 participants, split in two fleets: the Classics and the Foilers. In absence of the ten-times World Champion and Foiling king Glenn Ashby AUS, Steve Brewin AUS, Mischa Hemskeerk NED and Bruce Mahoney USA, the trio dominating the British Nationals finished three days ago, are the favorites for the Foiler Worlds. In the Classics, Andrew Landenbeger AUS and Scott Anderson AUS will be the ones to defeat. Emmanuel Cerf USA participates as only North American. ----- More sailing notables such as the World Speed Record holder Paul Larsen AUS, the Moth specialist Benoît Marie FRA or the successful GC32 helmsman Phil Robertson NZL are on the entry list. ----- The wind forecast predicts rather light winds until Wednesday.
