 IMOCA Open 60  Vendee Globe  Les Sables d'Olonne FRA  Day 5  the ongoing repairs ....
The big favorite of the race, Jérémy Béyou FRA ('Charal', Foiler), is still on his way back to Sables d'Olonne, where he will arrive tomorrow Saturday. After a personal analysis of the damage caused by the collision with flotsam in the harbor, he will decide whether he can resume the race. A restart is still possible until next Wednesday. - Here the report. ----- Armel Tripon FRA ('L'Occitane', Foiler) has rejoined the fleet after his repair break: He was 296nm behind this morning UTC. ----- Three times, Maxime Sorel FRA ('V&B Mayenne', Non-Foiler) had to climb the mast in 8th place to thread a halyard. - The report with video. ----- Sébastien Destremau FRA ('Merci', Non-Foiler) was up on the mast yesterday as well to free a trapped fall. Now his Open 60 seems to be okay again at the end of the fleet and - 419nm behind - he has resumed the race - the report.
