 IMOCA Open 60  Vendee Globe  Day 44  the parade is slowing down in a high pressure zone
A distinct anticyclone along the ice exclusion zone is currently causing flat conditions on the South Pacific, and the leading trio has already been slowed down, while the chasing group is moving up. Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq') continues to lead with now 94nm on Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia'). Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') is 175nm back in 3rd. Boris Herrmann GER ('SeaExplorer') follows 315nm behind in 4th place, and Jean Le Cam FRA ('Yes we Cam') in 5th, the first non-Foiler, has also reduced the gap to 360nm. Again among the fastest of the day was Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF'), who in 8th place is now 522nm behind. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
