 IMOCA Open 60  Vendee Globe  Day 50  Cape Horn about one week away provided the favorable condtions persist
The high-pressure system flattened along the iceberg exclusion zone and the leading group is finally making good progress again. Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq') - sailing at 19.6kn this morning UTC - extended his lead on Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') to 86nm. Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') has regained 3rd place with a 276nm deficit. New in 4th now Damien Séguin FRA ('Groupe Apicil', Non-Foiler) 328nm behind, followed 18nm back by Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF'). Cape Horn, about 2000 miles away, will be reached by the leaders early next week. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
