IMOCA Open 60 Vendee Globe Day 62 Out for Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER
After the swing keel hydraulics failures a few days ago, the keel suspension of her Open 60 broke yesterday, and Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF'), partly sailing up to rank 4, was forced to abandon the race. ----- At the top, Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq') had to give away about half of his lead in a flat anticyclone during the past two days, but this morning he was the first to reach fresh winds from the north and is pulling away again. In 2nd, Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') is 181nm, and Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') 292nm behind in 3rd, with Damien Seguin FRA ('Groupe Apicil') following just 8nm back in 4th. ----- Boris Herrmann GER ('SeaExplorer') is now 8th, 582nm behind. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
