470 - Coach-Regatta - Vilamoura POR - Day 1

In the run-up to the 470 World Championship in Vilamoura, which begins next weekend, the Coach Regatta started yesterday as a final test. Two races were sailed in each of the 3 classes. Jordi Xammar/Joel Rodriguez ESP took the lead in the mens rankings with a first and third place. Olympic gold medallists Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS, Kevin Peponnet/Jérémy Mion FRA and Maor Abu/Yoav Rooz ISR are tied for second place. Yves Mermod/Cyril Schüpbach SUI follow in 13th place of the 18 teams. In the women's event, Beste Kaynakci/Okyanus Arikan TUR took the lead with two 2nd places. Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA follow 3 points behind in 2nd place, with Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI in 5th with the day's 4th and 7th places. In the mixed ranking, new Olympic discipline from 2024, Tal Sade/Noa Lasry ISR have taken the lead. Three-time Opti World Champion Marco Gradoni ITA with Alessandra Dubbini ITA follow one point behind in second. All rankings.
