In fresh winds on the second day of the Olympic World Championships, the experienced teams moved forward: ----- First and foremost - as always - Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA in the Nacra-17, who further extended their lead with the day ranks 1/2/1. Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER moved up to 2nd place. In their first season in the class, The Swiss teams continue to struggle with the rough conditions extremely demanding for foiler catamarans. ----- In the 49er, the favorites Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED moved up to the top with two race wins, followed by Lukasz Przbytek/Jacek Piasecki POL on rank 2, 4 points behind. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI moved up to rank 6. Joshua Richner/Nio Schärer SUI on 34th are still within reach of the Goldfleet. ----- Vilma Bobek/Rebecca Netzler SWE won three races in the 49erFX, and they are now 6 points ahead of Isaura Maenhaut/Anouk Geurts BEL. ----- In the mixed 470, Keiju Okada/Miho Yoshioka JPN extended their lead to 10 points with another race win. Anton Dahlberg/Lovisa Karlsson SWE moved up to 2nd place. Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER improved on rank 3. The SUI teams did not fare as well: Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI are now 29th, and Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI follow as 42nd. ----- All results and the daily report.
