The Imperia Winter Regatta was concluded yesterday again in a moderate wind, and for the first time with sun.
Angela Pumariega/Patricia Cantero ESP defended their one-point's-lead in the 470 women and Anika Bochmann/Marlene Steinherr GER remained on rank 2. Jonas und Niklas Lindgren FIN left no doubt about their superiority in the 470 men adding two bullets on their results sheet. Rayco Tabares/Alfredo Gonzales ESP finished 2nd with a 6 points backlog.
Outstanding winners in the 420 girls are Carlotta Omari/Matilda Distefano ITA, ahead of Lou-Anne Morin/Swann Coste FRA on 2nd. A disqualification relegated the leading Paul Feldhusen/Leon Goepfert GER on rank 3 in the 420 boys. Giovanni Pizzati/Anna Poli ITA are the winners ahead of Vincent Jim/Victor Mas FRA.

In the 470 women, Angela Pumariega/Patricia Cantero ESP defended their lead, but Annika Bochmann/Marlene Steinherr GER are now only one point behind with the worst result discarded. Jonas + Niklas Lindgren FIN extended their lead in the 470 men with two race wins. Rayco Tabares/Alfredo Gonzales ESP follow on rank 2.
Carlotta Omari/Matilda Distefano ITA increased their advance in the 420 girls. New on rank 2 are now Lou-Anne Morin/Swann Coste FRA. Paul Feldhusen/Leon Goepfert GER defended their lead in the 420 boys, but the best of the day Giovanni Pizzati/Anna Poli ITA on rank 2 are now only 2 points behind. Vincent Jim/Victor Mas FRA are new on rank 3.

Moderate winds between 8 and 10 kn prevailed again yesterday, second day of the Imperia Winter Regatta. After the 470s, the 420s started racing, and all fleets completed 3 heats except the 470 women with two races, both won by Angela Pumariega/Patricia Cantero ESP taking the overall lead ahead of Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA 3 points back. Giacomo Ferrari/Giulio Calabro ITA realized three wins in the 470 men and are now one point in front of Jonas + Niklas Lindgren FIN.
In the 59 boats' 420 girls fleet, Carlotta Omari/Matilda Distefano ITA were the only ones with three top-10 rankings, and their overall lead is already 12 points on Laura Selvaggio/Maria Pastorelli ITA. German is the lead in the 420 boys with Paul Feldhusen/Leon Goepfert GER. Théo Graciane/Thomas Badri FRA are 2nd 3 points back.

The Imperia Winter Regatta was launched yesterday with the 470s, sailing two races in each fleet in a light wind. Three teams share the lead in the men's: Rayco Tabaraes/Alfredo Gonzalez ESP, Simon Sivitz/Ias Farneti ITA and Joao Villas/Tomas Cormelo POR are on top with 11 points each. Teams from 13 nations participate, among them Mexico and Aserbeidschan !
In the women, Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA and Annika Bochmann/Marlene Steinherr GER lead at equal points. 17 teams from 5 nations participate.

Today begin the 420 and 470 Winter Series in Imperia ITA at the Ligurian coast with 47 470 teams and 154 420 teams from 20 nations in total. Men and women sail in separate fleets.
