Windsurfing - RS:X World Championship 2016 - Eilat ISR - Day 5 - Final results
No wind in the morning and the last Silverfleet races had to be cancelled, but in the afternoon, a moderate breeze filled in and the ten best sailed the Medal Race in good conditions.
In the RS:X men, Piotr Myszka POL starting to the Medal Race with a 22 points' lead had his World's title prematurely. Finishing 2nd in the last race, the Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberghe NED moved up on the 2nd place at equal points with his team mate Kiran Badloe NED. Nick Dempsey GBR on 4th missed the podium by 3 points only.
The Gold Medal went to Poland also in the RS:X women, as Malgorzata Bialecka POL defended her advance in the Medal Race. Bryony Shaw GBR, finishing 3rd in the final race, moved up on the 2nd place overall and relegated Lilian de Geus NED with the same number of points on 3rd.
