 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Final results Another perfect day for sailing today on Biscayne Bay with 12 knots of wind to from the southeast and sunshine (Paul Cayard dixit).
Robert Stanjeck/Fritjof Kleen (GER) and Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi (ITA) started the day tied on top of the rankings duelling for the Bacardi victory, and the Germans made it clear right from the start holding the Italians behind in an exciting top level race and winning one point ahead. Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA defended the 3rd place.

 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Day 5 Two races were sailed yesterday in a 16 kn breeze, decreasing on 10 kn during the day. Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA finished twice on top and advanced on rank 1 ahead of Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER at equal points. These two teams cannot be overtaken during the final race today and will fight for the prestigious Bacardi Trophy. Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA remain on 3rd with a 5 points' advantage on Paul Cayard/Brian Fatih USA.

 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Day 4 The wind was blowing hard with up to 30 kn on Biscayne Bay and racing was cancelled for the day. Today, two Championship length races (10.7 nm) are on the program, and this means a long and physical day. The wind forecast is for 15-20 kn from the southeast decreasing during the day.
Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER were the dominators up to now with the day ranks 1/2/1.

 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Day 3 Windy with great sailing conditions - 15-17 kn - for the third day of racing in the 89th Bacardi Cup, the last day the 62 Stars will be alone on the bay. Following a general restart and black flag start, race 3 began. Winners of the day were again Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER extending their clear overall lead with the clean 1/2/1 result sheet. Solid constant performance by Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA as well following on rank 2 wiht a 6 points' deficit. Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA on 3rd are closely behind.

 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Day 2 Yesterday was Day 2 of the 88th Bacardi Cup and all the forecasts were predicting a big breeze exceeding 20 kn, but it did not materialize. After just one general recall, race 2 got underway in 16 knots from the East and choppy seas. According to the Bacardi rules, the legs of the course usually exceed 2 miles and a race lasts about 3 hours.
Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA won the race, but Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER extended their overall lead finishing 2nd. New on rank 3 are Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA on their brand-new Folli Star.

 Star - Bacardi Cup - Miami FL, USA - Day 1 A 15-17 kn wind prevailed on the first day of the classic Starclass Bacardi Cup on Biscayne Bay, the 88th edition of this event, originally organised in Havanna/Cuba. After numerous recalls and realigning of the start line during almost two hours, the fleet went off for the first of the usual long races. Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER were the winners ahead of Peter Vesella/Phil Trinter USA and Arthur Anosov/Edward Morey USA.
