The Star Sailors' League City Grand Slam on the Hamburg Alster ended yesterday with the Final Races on a sunny day with 12 kn wind. Qualified for the final countdown of the four best were teams that demonstrated their class during the whole event. Winners touching the 25'000 $ prize money were Xavier Rohart/Pierre-Alexis Ponsot FRA ahead of Eivind Melleby NOR/Joshua Refkin USA and Mateusz Kusznierewicz/Dominik Zycki POL.

Yesterday, 4 races of the Star Sailors' League City Grand Slam Round 2 were sailed on the Hamburg Alster. The top 30 of Round 1 fight for a to- 10 position to qualify for the Quarter Finals. This morning, the last Round 2 race will be sailed, and in the afternoon, the Final races with the Elimination heats are on the program. The grand Final with the best 4 teams is scheduled for 15h UTC.
Most of the favorites will make the top 10 cut. The ranking list this morning has Kusznierewicz/Zycki POL and Negri/Lambertenghi ITA on top at equal points. Melleby NOR/Revkin USA follow on rank 3.

Light, unstable winds prevailed on the Alster yesterday and there was much waiting for the three groups sailing their last qualification race.
Day winners were Negri/Lambertenghi ITA, Grael BRA/Lillia ITA and Diaz USA/Prada BRA, all three favorite teams among the best-ranked in the overall classification, where Kusznierewicz/Zycki POL are on top ahead of Melleby NOR/Revkin USA and Negri/Lambertengi ITA. 4 to 5 races are planned today for the 30 best and the 10 best will go to the Finals on Saturday. All favorites and the top-ranked teams in the SSL Ranking List will continue racing, except Merkelbach/Bartelt GER eliminated as 31st with the same number of points as the 30th.

Light and unstable winds prevailed yesterday at the SSL City Grand Slam on the Alster in Hamburg GER and made racing difficult. Nevertheless, the two heats for each of the three groups have been successfully completed with the favorites defending their top positions in the overall rankings.
New on rank 1 are Kusznierewicz/Zycki POL closely followed by Melleby NOR/Rifkin USA and Larence/Coleman USA. The team of the day George Szabo USA/Patrick Ducommun SUI finishing twice as first moved up on rank 4. Polgar/Koy GER on the 5th place are the best Germans. The qualification series will be concluded today with a last race per group, and the 30 best will go to the next round of the competition.

Partly fresh and mostly puffy winds prevailed on the Alster in Hamburg during the first day of the inaugural Star Sailors' League City Grand Slam. The 90 boats' fleet, split in three groups, sailed three races each.
Flawless was the performance of Eivind Melleby NOR/Josh Rivkin USA taking the overall lead with three bullets. Kusznierewicz/Zycki POL and Lawrence/Coleman USA follow closely behind. The two Hamburger teams Polgar/Koy GER and Koch/Witt GER occupy the ranks 4 and 5.
