 Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Final results, Sprague US 174th The Finn World Masters' Championship on Lake Garda ended yesterday with the Medal Race and a final race for the rest of the fleet.
Coming from behind in the heat of the ten best after a bad first upwind, the Olympic medalist Raffael Trujillo ESP celebrated his first Worlds title as newcomer among the Masters.The defending Champion Vladimir Krutskikh RUS earned Silver, Michael Maier CZE Bronze and at the same time the Grand-Master (50 ) title. On the 4th place overall and in the Medal Race follows Piet Eckert SUI. Henry Sprague USA is 174th, Ian Bostock CAN 244th.
The ranking list and the report with the winners by age categories. The title of the Super Legends (80 ) went to Pedro Jimínez-Meifren ESP !

 Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Final Day - Medal Race today The Finn World Masters on Lake Garda will end today with the Medal Race, based on the Wednesday rankings, as nothing but rain and no wind prevailed yesterday in Malcesine and the participants remained ashore. The situation before this final race is extremely exciting as all 10 athletes still have chances for a Medal: Between the leading Raffael Trujilo ESP and Vladimir Krutskikh RUS and the 10th Youriy Tokovoy UKR are only 14 points. The Medal Race will be started around 14.30 hrs.

 Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Day 3, Sprague USA 144th On the third day of the Finn World Masters on Lake Garda, the wind was slackening somewhat, at least occasionally. This did not care much Raffael Trujillo ESP and Vladimir Krutskikh RUS and they won again both races of their Groups. Both remain undefeated on top of the overall rankings, but Michael Maier CZE on 3rd at 2 points and Pit Eckert SUI on 4th at 4 points are within the title range as well. Marc-Alain des Beauvais FRA on 5th is the best Grand Grand Master (60 ). Henry Sprague USA is 144th. Two more races and the Medal Race are still on the program.

 Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Day 2 The Finn World Masters continued yesterday on Lake Garda again in a fresh 20 kn breeze with two races. Raffael Trujillo ESP and Vladimir Krutskikh RUS won again both heats of their Groups and lead jointly overall with sa 2 points' advantage on Michael Maier CZE. Piet Eckert SUI with the day ranks 2 and 3 is on the 4th place 3 points back. Henry Sprague USA, age 71, is 226th, Ian Bostock CAN 245th.

 Finn - World Masters Championship 2016 - Torbole ITA - Day 1 Top Lake Garda conditions prevailed yesterday during the first races of the Finn World Masters with an 18 kn Ora. The 355 participants sail in four Groups, and three times, the race winners finished first in both races: the Olympic Medalist Raffael Trujillo ESP, the defending Champion Vladimir Krutskikh RUS and the FD Olympic Diploma holder and Finn newcomer Piet Eckert SUI. All three lead tied on top of the overall interim’s rankings. On the ranks 4 and 5 follow the former Olympians Paul McKenzie AUS and Michael Maier CZE. Jan Bostock CAN is 205th, Charles Heimler USA 292th.
