Classes ACVL - Bol d'Or 2016 - SN Genève - Final results

 Classes ACVL - Bol d'Or 2016 - SN Genève - Final results Rain but good Southwest wind conditions, at least at the start, prevailed during this year's Bol d'Or. The winning 'Ladycat' with Xavier Revil FRA finished after 8 h 31 min for the 135 miles ahead of 'Alinghi' of Ernesto Bertarelli SUI. Best M2-Cat was 'Petercam' of Fred Moura SUI ahead of Michel Vaucher SUI. For the first time, the small 20-foot catamarns have been accepted. Robin Maeder/Félicien Ischer finished first after 15 h 28 min. Crossing the finish line on rank 23, the Libera 'Raffica' of Zsolt Kiraly HUN was the first monohull.

 Classes ACVL - Bol d'Or 2016 - SN Genève - Start today at 10h CET The Bol d’Or Mirabaud is the most important inland lake regatta in the world. Started in 1939, it welcomes mono-hulls and multihulls each year on Lake Geneva, starting off the Société Nautique of Geneva, Switzerland. More than 500 boats participate in this 123 kilometer (66.5 nautical mile) race from Geneva to Le Bouveret and back. The wind forecast - 3-4 bft south-westerly - promises a fast lake rounding today, favoring the big M1 catamarans.
