 International Classes - Kieler Woche - Kiel GER - Final results, Moore/Buttner USA 6th in 5o5s Part I of the Kiel Week 2016 with 14 International Classes ended yesterday, the first day with lighter winds. The final day was far from perfect for Gwendal Lamay/Luke Willim GER on top of the 29ers, but nevertheless, they remained on rank 1 ahead of Alicia Stuhlemmer/Tom Heinrich GER and Marcus Kirketerp/Tom Olson DEN. The incredibly long series of Kiel Week victories ended for Wolfgang Hunger GER as - sailing with Julian Kleiner GER as crew - he has been defeated in the 5o5 on his home waters. Andy Smith/Tim Needham GBR were the winners with a 4 points' advantage. Taylor Moore/Andrew Buttner USA finished the Championship on rank 6. In the Lasers 4.7, the leading Gautier Verhulst SUI was overtaken by Maksim Dzihael BLR winning one point ahead of the Swiss on rank 2. Roger Oswald SUI moved up on rank 2 in the Musto Skiffs behind the superior winner Frithjof Schwerdt GER but ahead of the recently crowned World Champion Andi Lachenschmid GER.

 International Classes - Kieler Woche - Kiel GER - Day 3, Moore/Buttner USA 6th in 5o5s Much action for the teams and the spectators on Kiel Bay with an up to 30 kn breeze ! Nothing has been decided yet in most of the classes before the last races today. Gwendal Lamay/Luke Willim GER have taken the lead in the 29ers, 4 points ahead of Pieter Van Leijen/Daniel Bramervaer NED, and even Markus Kirketerp/Sebastian Olsen DEN with a 7 points' backlog have chances for the overall victory. Final countdown also in the 5o5s, where the record-Kiel-Week-winner Wolfgang Hunger GER (with Julian Kleinert GER) is only 3 points behind Andy Smith/Tim Needham GBR. Tyler Moore/Andrew Buttner USA are now 15th. In the Europes, Valerian Lebrun FRA and Lars-Johann Brodtkorb NOR one point back will duel for the overall win. Leader in the Laser 4.7 is now Gautier Verhulst SUI 5 points ahead of Piet-Hein Kraan NED. Guy Asher ISR is 3rd. The first-ranked in the Lasers Radial, Aleksi Tapper FIN, has a 7 points' advantage on Jamie Calder GBR and Nooa Laukannen FIN.
