 Star - Eastern Hemisphere Championship 2016 - Split CRO - Final results, Winners Augie Diaz/Henry Boenning USA The Star Class Eastern Hemisphere Championship ended yesterday with the 7th race and the premature Champions Augie Diaz/Henry Boenning USA confirmed their top performance with a 2nd race rank. Winning the last race, the Laser Olympic Silver Medalist Tonci Stipanovic CRO with Ante Kujundzic CRO as crew advanced on rank 2. Hubert Merkelbach GER/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA earned the Bronze Medal. 36 teams from 11 nations.

 Star - Eastern Hemisphere Championship 2016 - Split CRO - Day 3, Diaz/Boening USA premature winners Perfect sailing conditions with sun and a 18-23 kn seabreeze prevailed again on the 3rd day of the Starboat Eastern Hemisphere Championships. Augie Diaz/Henry Boening USA, best of the day with the ranks 1 and 3, are the premature overall winners before the last race today. Mate Arapov/Ante Sitic CRO defended their 2nd place and thanks to the discard result, Hubert Merkelbach/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA moved up on rank 3. They will have to defend the podium against Tonci Stipanovic/Ante Kujundzic CRO only 2 points behind.

 Star - Eastern Hemisphere Championship 2016 - Split CRO - Day 2, Diaz/Boening USA still first Two races were sailed at the Star Eastern Hemisphere Championship off Split CRO in sun and a perfect seabreeze of 15-18 kn. Hubert Merkelbach/Sergio Lambertenghi GER/ITA coped the best with the fresher conditions and finishing twice on rank 2, they moved up on rank 4 overall. The race winners were Hornos/Revkin USA and Arapov/Sitic CRO. In the overall rankings, the World Champion Augie Diaz USA with Henry Boening USA as crew remains on first, but Arapov/Sitic CRO are only 2 points behind. New on rank 3 are Hornos/Rivkin USA. With race 5 today - again live with GPS-tracking - the discard will become effective and major position changes can be expected. The Laser Olympic Silver Medlist Toni Stipanovic CRO e.g., on rank 12 overall with a premature start penalty in race 1, will definitely jump on a top position, provided he will have a successful race day today.

 Star - Eastern Hemisphere Championship 2016 - Split CRO - Day 1, Diaz/Boenning USA 1st after day one Two races were sailed yesterday on the first day of the Starboat Eastern Hemisphere Championship in Split CRO. Finishing 1 and 2, Augie Diaz/Henry Boenning USA are the first leaders 4 points ahead of Mate Arapov/Ante Sitic CRO on rank 2. The Laser Olympic Silver medalist Tonci Stipanovic CRO is 22nd overall after a premature start disqualification and a 10th place.
