Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Wave - Klitmöller DEN - Day 6

Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Wave - Klitmöller DEN - Day 6 Finally, after 5 days' waiting, wind and waves were present yesterday to run the Wave Worldcup qualifications in Klitmöller DEN. Loïck Lesauvage FRA (age 16), Julian Salmonn GER, Julien Quentel FRA and the local Mads Bjorna DEN qualified for today's competition. If a final round can be sailed today, last day of the event, depends on the direction of the announced 18-25 kn wind. Should it be too much East, the waves would not build up.

Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Wave - Klitmöller DEN - Day 4

Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Wave - Klitmöller DEN - Day 4 Yesterday, the bad luck with wind and waves at the Danish West Coast persisted. There was some hope that competable conditions with 20 knots of wind would fill in, and for a while, the wind did arrive, but unfortunately the swell never built to a suitable level to allow the contest to begin. The forecast for today looks promising with a 16 to 18 kn wind. On Sunday however, the final day of the event, the fresh wind from the shore will not produce any waves again to start the competition. Today or never !
