The Monaco Primo Cup 2017 was concluded with two windy races in each class.
In the Starboats, Benamati/Domenicali ITA finished again on the day ranks 1 and 2 and ended as clear overall winners ahead of Tom Löfsted SWE and Reinhard Schmidt GER.
Winning 4 of the 8 races, Mario Soerensen-Garcia BRA was the outstanding winner in the J/70s. The Brazilian was by far the fastest in the big downwind surfs ! Adrien Follin FRA and Ludovic Fassitelli ITA completed the podium.

Stormy winds impacted the program of the Monaco Primo Cup yesterday and the two big fleets of the Starboats and J/70 remained in the harbour for safety reasons. The other three classes sailed one race each.
In the Melges 20, Achille Onorato ITA (tactics Cameron Appleton NZL) extended his lead with another race win. Only three M32 catamarans finished the only race of the day. Riccardo Simoneschi ITA won the race and moved on top at equal points with Johnie Berntsson SWE who was forced to abandon the race.

The Primo Cup in Monaco began yesterday with sun and an up to 20 kn breeze. The largest fleets - Starboats and J/70 - sailed two, the Melges 20 three and the small M32 catamaran fleet four races.
With the day ranks 1 and 2, Roberto Benamati/... ITA (unfortunately, the crew names have not been mentioned) has taken the first place in the Starboats ahead of Reinhard Schmidt GER and Tom Löfsted SWE. Brazilian is the lead in the J/70s with Mario Soerensen-Garcia BRA. Adrien Follin FRA and Krysztof Krempec POL are the first chasers. In the M32-catamarans, Johnie Berntsson SWE won 3 of the 4 races.
