 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Final results Two races were completed on the last day of the GC32 Class Championship mostly non-foiling in the light seabreeze. 'Oman Air' with Phil Robertson NZL had no problem defending her lead, winning ahead of 'Alinghi' (with Extreme Sailing afterguard, the helmsman Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI replacing Ernesto Bertarelli SUI and Nicolas Charbonnier FRA tactics), finishing 1 and 2 as team of the day. On rank 3 followed 'SAP Racing Team' with Adam Monoprio NZL. 'Team Tilt' with Sébastien Schneiter SUI remained on rank 5 as clearly the best team of the upcoming 2017 Youth America's Cup participants-

 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Day 5 The moderate seabreeze allowed to complete four more races yesterday. 'Oman Air' with Phil Robertson NZL added two more bullets to their results sheet, extended their overall lead on 7 points and will hardly be passed in the last races today. For rank 2, the fight will be on between 'SAP Racing Team' with Adam Monoprio NZL 2 points ahead of 'Alinghi' with Ernesto Bertarelli SUI. 'Team Tilt' with Sébastien Schneiter SUI had a bad day and dropped on rank 5 behind 'Red Bull Sailing' with Roman Hagara AUT.

 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Day 4 After the lay day, the GC32 Class Championship continued yesterday in light, slackening winds allowing to complete only one race within the time limits (35 min). 'Team Engie' with Sébastien Rogues FRA won the race ahead of 'SAP Racing Team' with Adam Minoprio NZL/Jes Gram-Hansen DEN. 'Team Tilt' mit Sébastien Schneiter SUI (with a restart after an OCS) and 'Alinghi' with Ernesto Bertarelli SUI finished on the rank 5 and 6. 'Oman Air' with Phil Robertson NZL remains on top with 'SAP Racing' taking the 2nd place. 'Alinghi' on 3rd is now 6 points behind the first. Another 6 points back is 'Team Tilt' on the 4th position.

 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Day 2 A moderate wind, lighter as on the opening day, prevailed yesterday at the GC32 Class Championship and 4 races were completed. The slackening breeze made racing, and above all the starts, for the 11 cats difficult and numerous general recalls were the consequence. Severely punished - with 12 points - were 'SAP Extreme Sailing Team' with Adam Minoprio NZL and 'Team Tilt' mit Sébastien Schneiter SUI under blackflag in race 7. Nevertheless, 'SAP' stays on the 3rd, 'Tilt' on the 4th place overall. 'Oman Air' with Phil Robertson NZL extended its lead on the 2nd-ranked 'Alinghi' with Ernesto Bertarelli SUI on 4 points.

 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Day 1 The GC32 Class Championship began yesterday with 5 races sailed in an 8-11 kn wind, challenging the teams to keep the cats foiling. 'Oman Air', new with the Match-Race-Worldchampion Phil Robertson NZL steering, has taken the overall lead thanks to two race wins. 3 points back follow at equal points 'SAP Racing Team' with Adam Minoprio NZL and 'Alinghi' with Ernesto Bertarelli SUI. On rank 4, only one point behind, is the second Swiss GC32 'Tilt' of Sébastien Schneiter.

GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Start today

 GC32-Catamaran - Class Championship 2017 - Muscat OMN - Start today The 2017 season of the foiling GC32 catamarans begins today in Oman with the inaugural Class Championship gathering the majority of participants of the Extreme Sailing Series and the GC32 Racing Tour. 11 GC3s will start today, the biggest fleet united so far. Back-to-back will follow the first Act of the 2017 Extreme Sailing Series at the same venue.
The Practice Race yesterday, sailed in light winds, was won by 'Alinghi'. Racing can be followed beginning at 9 a.m. UTC on the event website.
