Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Final results

 Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Final results The Hyères Laser Europacup Regatta was concluded yesterday with a last race, sailed in moderate winds.
Marie Barrué FRA won this last heat on her home waters and replaced Maud Jayet SUI at equal points on top of the Laser Radial rankings. Hannah Anderssohn GER defended the 3rd place. Federico Tocchi ITA on the 4th position was the best man among the 233 participants.
In the Lasers 4.7, Andrea Crisi ITA advanced on rank 1 on the last day 2 points ahead of Félix Baudet SUI. Matisse Pacaud FRA finished 3rd among the 159 participants.
Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA was the superior winner in the Lasers Standard. Unfortunately, the link to the results was not correct this morning.

Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 3, ranks 20, 23 and 24 for the North Americans

 Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 3, ranks 20, 23 and 24 for the North Americans The perfect conditions with sun and a 15-18 kn breeze, the freshest one so far, stayed on yesterday on Hyères Bay, and all three classes completed three races each.
Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA confirmed his role as favorite in the Lasers Standard winning all three heats. Duko Bos CRO advanced on rank 2, Antony Munos FRA is now 3rd. Maren Zalesky USA is 20th, Karem Fillah CAN 23rd and Pedro Fernandez PUR 24th among the 93 participants.
Maud Jayet SUI defended her overall lead in the Lasers Radial, but the two best of the day Hannah Anderssohn GER (1/1/1) and Marie Barrué FRA (1/1/2) reduced their backlogs considerably. 233 participants.
A Swiss lead also in the Lasers 4.7 with Félix Baudet SUI. With two 2nd ranks, he is now one point ahead of Mattis Pacaud FRA and Andrea Crisi ITA.

Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 2

 Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 2 Sun and moderate winds prevailed on the second day of the Laser Europacup in Hyères FRA and the three classes - 9 fleets in total - sailed two races each.
Maud Jayet SUI dominated her Laser Radial group with two race wins and leads overall 5 points ahead of a tied trio with Dimitri Papadimitriou GRE, Sofiane Karim FRA and Elena Vorobeva RUS.
Andrea Crisi ITA is first in the Laser 4.7 fleet one point ahead of Matisse Pacaud FRA. Michael Amadori ITA and Félix Baudet SUI on the ranks 3 and 4 are not far behind.
In the Lasers Standard, the Olympian Jean Baptiste Bernaz FRA has taken the lead on his home waters. Giovanni Coccoluto ITA on rank 2 follows 3 points behind on the 2nd place, Igor Les MNE (Montenegro) is 3rd by a small margin.

Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 1, with North American participants

 Laser - Europacup 2017 - Hyères FRA - Day 1, with North American participants Almost 500 Laser sailors showed up yesterday in Hyères FRA to complete one opening race by class at the French Laser Europacup event in light winds on a sunny warm (+20°) spring day at the Côte d'Azur.
In the Lasers Standard (93 participants/22 nations/4 continents), Anthony Munos FRA and Giovanni Coccoluto ITA were the winners in their groups. Abdulla Jahani BAH and Karolis Janulionis LTU finished 2nd, Marek Zaleski USA and Jean-Baptiste Bernaz 3rd.
The largest fleet with 233 participants (23 nations/4 continents), the Lasers Radial, is split in four groups. The rce winners were Alexandre Bouflet FRA, Dimitris Papadimitriou GRE, Maud Jayet SUI and Nicolo Elena ITA.
In the Lasers 4.7 (158 participants/20 nations/4 continents), split in three groups, the race winners were Bastian Heitz FRA, Matisse Pacaud FRA and Michael Amadori ITA.
