GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series - Act 2 - Qingdao CHN - Final results - Victory for Alinghi

Act 2 of the Extreme Sailing Series 2017 in Qingdao CHN was concluded yesterday with another seven races sailed in a 5-18 kn breeze. 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI, Nicolas Charbonnier FRA (Olympic Bronze Medal winner 2008 on these waters), Bryan Mettraux SUI, Yves Detrey SUI and Timothé Lapauw FRA defended their lead and were crowned Kings of Qingdao for a second year running. On rank 2 followed the surprising 'BAR Racing' with Rob Bunce GBR in their second year in the Series. They will be favorites for the Youth America's Cup in Bermuda next month together with'Team New Zealand' and the Swiss 'Team Tilt' (Sébastien Schneiter SUI). 'Oman Air' with Phil Robertson NZL finished 3rd. The overall Series leader after two Acts is 'Alinghi'.

GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series - Act 2 - Qingdao CHN - Day 3

 GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series - Act 2 - Qingdao CHN - Day 3 Seven races were sailed yesterday at the Extreme Sailing Series in Qingdao CHN in an initial light wind, increasing to 20 kn lateron. Alinghi with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI was constantly among the best and defended the overall lead with a 4 points' advantage before the last races today. Team of the day was the young 'BAR Academy' team of Rob Bunce GBR, moving up on rank 2 overall. 'NZL Extreme Sailing Team' with Graeme Sutherland NZL are now on rank 3.

 GC32-Catamaran - Extreme Sailing Series - Act 2 - Qingdao CHN - Day 1 The wind filled in late on the opening day of Act 2 of the Extreme Sailing Series in China, but the 15 kn breeze allowed to complete three races. 'Alinghi' with Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI has taken the lead with the ranks 1/2/2 ahead of 'SAP Racing Team' (Jes-Gram Hansen DEN) and 'Red Bull Sailing Team' (Roman Hagara AUT) on the ranks 2 and 3.
