Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Final results

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Final results The Finns sailed the Finals also in a new format. While the best 3 overall - Jonathan Lobert FRA, Anders Pedersen NOR and Beresz Zsombor HUN - were selected for the Final, the athletes on the ranks 4 to 12 competed for two more places, that went to Ed Wright GBR and Ben Cornish GBR adding the British flavour to the crucial race. They continued to rule the show and only Jonathan Lobert FRA, winning his first important title, succeeded to control them at the end of the day. Behind the French with Gold, the Brits earned Silver and Bronze. Anders Pedersen NOR, during the whole week on rank 2, had to content himself with rank 4.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Day 5, Ramshaw CAN 20th The Finn European Championship in Marseille FRA continued yesterday with three races sailed in a 10 to 15 kn unconstant wind.
It was the day of Jonathan Lobert FRA, who won 2 races and was also in the lead of the 4th heat when in was abandoned. He is now on rank 1 with a 5 points' advantage on Anders Pedersen NOR. Berecz Zsombor HUN moved up on rank 3. According to the tested new format, this trio is aleady qualified for the Final of the best 6. Ed Wright GBR dropped on rank 4. Tom Ramshaw CAN is 20th in the final rankings.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Day 4 - No racing, Ramshaw CAN 20th An Eastwind exceeding 30 kn rushed over the Marseille Gulf during the whole day, and this was even too much for the Finns. For today, moderate conditions have been forecast and three races have been scheduled.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Day 3 The Finn Europeans continued yesterday with three races sailed in an unconstant wind from the shore of up to 20 kn. Thanks to a race win and a 3rd place, Ed Wright GBR reclaimed the first position overall 3 points ahead of Anders Pedersen NOR. The Norvegian finished within the best 8 in all 6 races so far. Jonathan Lobert FRA - he too without bad race rank - follows two more points behind on rank 3. However, the points' differences are of no importance, as with the new format, the best 10 progress to the Semi Finals and the Final. The ranking list, the daily news and the video of the day.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Day 2 Quite a contrast to the windy opening day, as the breeze was light and unconstant yesterday, and only one race could be completed. The second race had to be abandoned at the first mark twice.
Ben Cornish GBR won the race and advanced on top of the interim's rankings, as the dominator of the first day, Ed Wright GBR, was disqualified for a premature start. Berecsz Zsombor HUN moved up on rank 2 and Anders Pedersen NOR follows as 3rd. Jonathan Lobert FRA is down on 4th one point back.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Day 1, Ramshaw CAN 30th As forecast, the fresh Mistral welcomed the big Finn fleet on the opening day of the European Championship in Marseille. The start was postponed until the afternoon when the wind was 'down' on 25-30 kn allowing to complete two races, both won by Ed Wright GBR. Jonathan Lobert FRA and Anders Pedersen NOR follow on the rank 2 and 3 overall. Tom Ramshaw CAN is on the 30th place.

 Finn - European Championship 2017 - Marseille FRA - Start today, Ramshaw CAN only NorAm Today at 10 a.m. UTC, the start to the first race of the Finn European Championship 2017 will be given in Marseille FRA .... provided there is not too much Mistral win.
