'Argo' of Jason Carroll USA went on with rankings in the top-3 and finished Act 2 of the Racing Tour as clear winner ahead of 'Realteam' with Jerôme Clerc SUI and 'Mamma Aiuto' with Naofumi Kamei JPN. Carroll was with this first place obviously also the best in the separate owner/driver rankings. 'Realteam' remains on top of the 2017 Racing Tour rankings.

Act 1 of the GC32 Racing Tour was concluded yesterday with 3 races and additional speed contests sailed in a 10-15 kn Ora breeze. 'Realteam' with Jerôme Clerc SUI defended the first place against the Youth 'Team Tilt' of Sébastien Schneiter SUI. Flavio Marazzi SUI had a good last day and completes the all-Swiss podium. By the way: 'Realteam' and 'Team Tilt' as well as of course 'Alinghi' sail all under the flag of the Société Nautique of Geneva, double America's Cup winner.

For the first time, good Ora conditions prevailed yesterday on Lake Garda and in the 15-18 kn winds, speed and boat-handling were decisive. Jerôme Clerc SUI on his 'Realstone' finished the races regularily in the top ranks and took the overall lead. Team of the day was the Youth 'Team Tilt' of Sébastien Schneiter SUI advancing on 2nd overall with the day ranks 2/1/1/1, tuning-up for the Youth America's Cup of next month. Jason Carroll USA with his 'Team Argo' dropped on rank 5 overall, but leads in the Owner/Driver rankings.

The 10 to 15 kn thermal breeze on Lake Garda was quite instable yesterday, due to the disturbed overall weather situation South of the Alps. Nevertheless, four races were completed.
The first race win in the GC32 Tour 2017 went surprisingly to the newcomer Iker Martinez ESP, two-times 49er Champion. The day ended unfortunately with equipment damage in the last race relegating 'I.M. Racing Movistar' on rank 5 overall. 'Team Engie' with Sébastien Rogues FRA and 'Realteam' with Jerôme Clerc SUI have the joint lead, one point ahead of 'Argo' with Jason Carroll USA. In addition to round-the-mark racing, a speed challenge over one mile is on the daily program. Fastest with a 31,02 kn average was Flavio Marazzi SUI with his international 'Armin Strom Sailing Team'.
