During the final race of the Melges 24 European Sailing Series on Lake Garda yesterday, Carlo Fracassoli ITA discovered his direct challengers for victory way back in the fleet, and he allowed himself an early home time abandoning the race. 7 points is the advantage in the final rankings. Winning the last heat, Bruce Ayres USA (with Mark Reynolds USA) moved up on the 2nd place overall. Robert Bakoczy HUN defended his 3rd rank. 39 teams.
