The defending Champion Phil Robertson NZL clearly defeated Taylor Canfield ISV 3-0 and repeated his last year's victory in the Marstrand World-Tour-Event, the third of this year's tour. Winner of the Petite Final was Ian Williams GBR winning 2-1 against the matchrace newcomer Pieter-Jan Postma NED. 'Team Magenta 32' of Sally Barkow USA finished 15th.

Yesterday, the last three Top-16 Finals were held and the favorites Taylor Canfield ISV, Ian Williams GBR and Phil Robertson NZL qualified more or less easily for the Quarter Finals of today. The pairings will be: Williams GBR v Guichard FRA; D Gilmour AUS v Canfield ISV; Steele NZL v Robertson NZL; Postma NED v Dackhammar SWE.

Moderate, unconstant winds prevailed yesteray during the Sail-Offs and the first Top-16
Finals at the Marstrand World Match Racing Tour event.
The all-female team 'Magenta' of Sally Barkow USA qualified for the best 16, but were eliminated by David Gilmour AUS with 0-3. The first Quarter Final slots in addition to David Gilmour AUS went to Yann Guichard FRA (winning 3-0), Pieter-Jan Postma NED (3-1), Niklas Dackhammar SWE (3-2) and Chris Steele NZL (3-0).

The Swedish World Match Racing Tour Round 3 began yesterday in Marstrand SWE with the fleetrace qualifiers. Split in three groups, 6 heats per fleet were completed.
Phil Robertson NZL, Chris Steele NZL and Torvar Mirsky AUS jointly lead in Group 1. In Group 2, Matt Jerwood AUS and Taylor Canfield ISV share rank 1. Ian Williams GBR is on top of Group 3. The all-female Team 'Magenta' of Sally Barkow USA as Group-4th have missed the direct qualification by a small margin only. They have another chance in the Sail-Offs to join the top-16.
