Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Final results - Gold for Oskari Muhonen FIN, Luke Muller USA 6th

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Final results - Gold for Oskari Muhonen FIN, Luke Muller USA 6th No wind on the Balaton on the last day of the Finn U23 Junior World Championship, the so called Silver Cup, and the classifications after 6 races became final.
Oskari Muhonen FIN won the title 5 points ahead of Facundo Olezza ARG, the only Olympian in the fleet. Bronze went to Fionn Lydon IRL in his first Finn regatta ever on the Balatomfüred ! The defending champion Philipp Kasueske GER followed on rank 11 only. Luke Miller USA finished as 6th among the 55 participants.

The coming Friday is the first day of the official Finn World Championship, the Finn Goldcup, organised on the opposite side of the Balaton in Balatonföldvar.

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 6, Muller USA 6th The heat - 35°C - killed the wind completely over the Balaton yesterday and the crucial day of the Junior Finn Worlds will be today. Oskari Muhonen FIN leads 5 points ahead of Facundo Olezza ARG and also Fjonn Lydon IRL 7 points behind has a small chance for the title. Luke Muller USA is 6th among the 45 participants.

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 5, Muller USA down on 6th A light breeze around 7 kn filled in late in the afternoon only on the Balaton allowing to complete two races. The leading Facundo Olezza ARG had his worst day so far with a premature start disqualification as well as an 11th place and lost his lead. Even worse was it for Luke Muller USA, dropping from 2 to 6 with a premature start and a 19th place. New leader with a 5 points' advance is Oskari Muhonen FIN dominating with the ranks 1 and 2 yesterday. Fionn Lydon IRL moved up on 3rd.

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 4, Muller USA 2nd interims The high temperatures of this summer stalled the breeze again on Lake Balaton HUN, but at least one race could be finished. Sebastian Kalafarski POL was the winner and in the overall rankings, Facundo Olezza ARG defended his first place with a 6th race rank. New on rank 2, 13 points behind Olezza ARG, is Luke Muller USA. Henry Wheterell GBR follows on rank 3. The defending Champion Philipp Kasueske GER is now 11th.

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 2, Muller USA 5th The wind forecast for the Finn Junior World Championship, the Silver Cup, on Lake Balaton are not very promising. Yesterday, the announced light breeze did not fill in, and the young Finn sailors remained ashore. After the first three races on day one, Facundo Olezza ARG is clearly leading. Luke Muller USA is 5th.

Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 1, Muller USA 5th

 Finn - Silver-Cup - Balatonfüred HUN - Day 1, Muller USA 5th Very variable winds between 2 and 15 kn with big wind shifts of up to 90° prevailed at the Finn U23 World Championship, the Finn Silvercup, on Lake Balaton HUN yesterday. Nevertheless, 3 races have been completed. Facundo Olezza ARG, the only Olympian in the 45 boats' fleet from 23 nations, managed the difficult conditions best, and with the day ranks 1/3/4, he clearly took the overall lead. Henry Wetherell GBR follows on 2nd, Hector Simpson GBR and Fionn Lydon IRL share the 3rd place. Luke Muller USA is on the excellent 5th place. The defending Champion Philipp Kasueske follows on rank 9 (day ranks 3/40/3).
