Olympic Classes - Olympic Week - Enoshima JPN - Final results, Erika Reineke USA wins Gold

 Olympic Classes - Olympic Week - Enoshima JPN - Final results, Erika Reineke USA wins Gold The 2017 Olympic Week at the 2020 Olympic venue Enoshima JPN was concluded yesterday morning with all Olympic classes except the Nacra-17. Moderate winds and rain prevailed during most races.
Luke Patience/Chris Grube GBR won in the 470 men. In the 470 women, Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA were the dominators. In the 49ers, the favorites Dylan Fletcher/Stuart Bithell GBR were on top. Clear winners in the 49ersFX were the Olympic medalists Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL. No surprise was the victory of Giles Scott GBR in the Finns, while the Gold Medals in the Lasers went to Thomas Saunders NZL in the Standards and Erika Reineke USA in the Radials. Last but not least the RS:X windsurfers, where Lilian De Geus NED finished first in the women and Mengfan Gao CHN in the men.

49er: Judge Ryan/Hans Henken USA 12th
49erFX: Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA 5th, Kate Shaner/Helena Scutt USA 9th
Laser Standard: Robert Davis CAN 15th, Chris Barnard USA 24th, Erik Bowers USA 35th

 Olympic Classes - Olympic Week - Enoshima JPN - Day 3, brilliant Erika Reineke USA on first 1000 days before the opening of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokio, the final races of the Pre-Olympic Sailing Week at Enoshima, the venue of the Olympic Regatta, are being held in perfect racing conditions with a breeze around 12-15kn. The first results have already been posted this morning UTC, and the complete ranking lists will be availble by noon.
In the 470 men, Luke Patience/Chris Grube GBR are now first. In the 470 women, Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA remain on top 3 points ahead of Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED.
In the 49er, Fletcher/Bithell GBR extended their lead on 8 points. In the 49erFX, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL dominate with a 10 points led on Viktoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER. With 5 bullets in 7 races and a 10 points lead, the Finn victory is clearly with Giles Scott GBR. Jake Lilley AUS is 2nd.
Leader change in the Lasers Standard where Thomas Saunders NZL as best of the day (ranks 1 and 2) replaced Matthew Wearn AUS on top. As 2nd, his backlog is already 19 point ! Domination also in the Lasers Radial with Erika Reineke USA now already 18 points ahead of Tatjana Droszdowskaja BLR.
In the RS:X men windsurfers, Mengfan Gao CHN is first, the best RS:X woman windsurfer is lilian De Geus NED.

 Olympic Classes - Olympic Week - Enoshima JPN - Day 2, Erika Reineke USA interim's leader The Olympic Sailing Week in Enoshima JPN was opened yesterday and this morning, the first races have already been completed. By noon, the updated ranking lists will be available.
Daichi Takayama/Kimihiko Imamura JPN lead in the 470 men ahead of Luke Patience/Chris Grube GBR. First in the 470 women are Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubini ITA ahead of Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED.
In the 49ers, Fletcher/Bithell GBR are on the first place. In the 49ersFX, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL are on top ahead of Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER with the same number of points. Giles Scott GBR leeds in the small Finn fleet.
In the largest fleet, the Lasers Standard with 55 boats, Matthew Wearn AUS is the clear leader ahead of Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR and Thomas Saunders NZL. In the Lasers Radial, Erika Reineke USA is first in front of Vasileia Karachaliou GRE.
