Nacra 15 - World Championship - Barcelona ESP - Final results, Mia+Teddy Nicolosi ISV 1th

 Nacra 15 - World Championship - Barcelona ESP - Final results, Mia+Teddy Nicolosi ISV 1th On the last day of the inaugural Nacra-15 World Championship, a 15kn breeze filled in providing the best sailing conditions so far, and four more races were held.
As best of the day, Henri Demesmaeker/Frederique Van Eupen BEL moved on top of the rankings and clearly won the title with 26 points advantage. Silver went to Doran Gouran/Kenza Coutard FRA. The wind was too strong for the previous dominators Thomas Proust/Clément Martineau FRA, relegated on rank 3, but winning the U16 title. Mia and Teddy Nicolosi ISV finished 15th, Nicholas Martin/ Lucy Brugman USA 29th and Helen Horangic/Walker Moffat CAN 39th. 60 teams from 20 nations participated.

 Nacra 15 - World Championship - Barcelona - Day 4, NorAms 27th, 37th and 38th The early going afloat at 7h CET was in vain as the wind filled in around noon and the first of three light-wind races could be started off Barcelona at 13h only.
Winning all three heats, Thomas Proust/Clément Martineau FRA, the only all-Boys team (and U16) are now clearly on top overall with 5 bullets in 6 races and the World Champion title will without doubt be theirs at the end of the day. On rank 2 with a 19 points' backlog follow Henri Demesmaeker/Frederike Van Eupen BEL on rank 2. Ashley Swadling/Jed Fatches AUS moved up on rank 3. Mia and Teddy Nicolosi ISV are 27th, Helen Horangic/Walker Moffat CAN 37th and Nicholas Martin/Lucy Brugman USA 38th.

 America's Cup - Britain gets rebranded INEOS, a UK company headquartered in Rolle/Lake Geneva SUI since 2010, has formed 'INEOS Team GB' and is making the biggest ever British investment in the America’s Cup in an unprecedented effort to bring the trophy back to Britain for the first time since the competition was established in 1851. 'INEOS Team GB' has teamed up with Sir Ben Ainslie replacing 'Landrover' as title sponsor, who will continue to lead the design and build boat programme and skipper the racing yacht, challenging the current holder 'Emirates Team New Zealand' on behalf of Royal Yacht Squadron Racing. INEOS is committed to spending £110 million, as Jim Ratcliffe, INEOS founder and chairman confirmed.

 Nacra 15 - World Championship - Barcelona ESP - Day 3 with NorAm teams After two days ashore waiting for wind, the World Championship of the Nacra-15 was finally kicked-off in Barcelona yesterday. Light and unconstant winds prevailed and only the overall leaders Doran Gouran/Kenza Couard FRA finshed the three races in the top-10. Arnaud Grange/Marie Van der Klink SUI followed on rank 2, Gildwen Moriceaux/Billy Margaux FRA on rank 3. Dominating was the U-16 boys' team Thomas Proust/Clément Martineau FRA with two bullets, but a 31st keeps them down on rank 8 for the moment. The Youth World Champions Max Wallenberg/Amanda Björk SUI follow on rank 10 among the 60 teams. Mia and Teddy Nicolosi ISV are 17th, Nicolas Martin/Lucy Brugman USA 25th and Helen Horangic/Walker Moffat CAN 27th among the 60 teams.
