The Palamos Optimist International Trophy was concluded yesterday with another three races.
Martin Atilla LAT was defeated for the first time, but with the big advantage from the qualification races, he defended the first position by a small margin. Maayan Shemesh ISR, the best girl, advanced on rank 2 at equal points with the winner. Sebastian Kempe BER followed on the 3rd position. With Leon Jost GER on rank 6, Caspar Ilgenstein GER as9th and Carl Krause GER as 10th, Germany won the Nations Cup.
The best of the large USA Team was Audrey Foley USA on rank 89, the best Mexican Alexandro Riquelme Beckmann MEX.

After two days with a good breeze at the Optimist Trophy in Palamos ESP, calms inhibited racing yesterday. A class of his own was again Martin Atilla LAT winning all races of his group. With also 3 race wins, Alex Demurtas ITA moved up on rank 2. Rocco Wright IRL stayed on rank 3. The best girl is now Mayaan Shemesh ISR on the 5th place.

Martin Attila LAT won all three races of his group and leads overall 3 points ahead of Roco Wright IRL. On rank 3 follows the reigning World Champion Maria Perello ESP. 530 participants from 29 nations are present.

Today, the second important international Optimist Regatta of the year begins in Palamos ESP at the Costa Brava with 550 participants from 29 nations and 2 contintents on the entry list, among them big delegations from Spain, France, Germany and Switzerland. 18 starters come from the USA, 3 from the Bermudas.
