 Optimist - European Championship - Crozon-Morgat FRA - Final results - 2 x Gold for Italy, best-ranked North American is Katrin Doble USA on 11th For two year, the Optimist World Champion titles have been Italian. Yesterday, Alessandro Cortese ITA and Federica Contardi ITA earned the Optimst European Championship titles as well. ----- In the Girls, Italy grasped Silver too with Lisa Vucetti ITA. The Bronze Medal went to Jeanne Larnicol FRA. ----- The best North American Katrin Doble USA advanced on rank 11 after a brilliant 3rd place in the last race. Ami Glennie CAN in the Silverfleet dropped on rank 113 among the 117 participants. ----- In the Boys, Dimitrios Bitros GRE won Silver and Lorenzo Pezilli ITA Bronze behind the Gold Medal winner Alessandro Cortese ITA. ----- Griggs Diemar USA on rank 23 is now the best North American, Christopher Tang CAN sailing in the Silverfleet dropped on rank 108 among the 176 participants on the last day. ----- The ranking lists and the facebook page with videos und Fotos.

 Optimist - European Championship 2019 - Crozon-Morgat FRA - Day 3, Italian leaders in both fleets, Katrin Doble USA 14th Girls best North American Leader changes in both Optimist fleets after the first Final races in Brittany FRA, two for the Boys and one for the Girls. ----- The race winner Federica Contardi ITA took the lead in the Girls ahead of the tied Lisa Vucetti ITA and Lucy Gout FRA on 2nd and 3rd. The best North American Katrin Doble USA advanced on 14th, Ami Glennie CAN in the Silverfleet is now 93rd overall among the 117 participants. ----- Italian leader also in the Boys with Alessandro Cortese ITA, two points ahead of Dimitrios Bitros GRE. Marc Mezquida ESP follows on rank 3. Griggs Diemar USA on rank 27 is now the best North American as Pearse Dowd USA down on 38th had a bad day (BFD/51). Christopher Tang CAN sailing in the Silverfleet is 97th among the 176 participants. ----- All results and the event facebook page.

 Optimist - European Championship 2019 - Crozon-Morgat FRA - Day 3, USA ranks 16 (Dowd Boys) and 18 (Doble Girls) Lisa Vucetti ITA extended her lead in the Girls fleet on 10 points at the end of the 3 races held yesterday in Brittany FRA. Jeanne Larnicol FRA advanced on rank 2. Federica Contardi ITA and Jule Ernst GER follow on the ranks 3 and 4. Katrin Doble USA is 18th, Ami Glennie CAN 88th among the 117 participants
In the Boys, Marc Mesquida ESP and Michele Adorni ITA share the lead at equal points. One point back follows Fernando Menezes BRA on 3rd. The best North Americans are Pearse Dowd USA on 16th and Christopher Tang CAN climbing up 45 ranks on the 65th place among the 176 participants.

 Optimist - European Championship 2019 - Crozon Morgat FRA - Day 2 - NorAm top-15 results in both gender fleets The first two races of the Optimist European Championship were sailed at the French Atlantic Coast yesterday. ----- In the Girls fleet, Lisa Vucetti ITA (ranks 3 and 1) has taken the lead ahead of Marie Mazuay SUI (1/6) and Jule Ernst GER (4(4). Katrin Doble USA is 8th, Ami Glennie CAN 89th among the 117 participants. ----- Winning both races of his group, Marc Mesquida ESP is on top of the Boys rankings one point ahead of Fernando Menezes BRA (2/1). Dimitrios Bitros GER (2/2) is 3rd. The best North Americans are Pearse Dowd USA on 13th and Christopher Tang CAN as 110th among the 176 participants. ----- The ranking lists and the event website, where the report will be posted later today Tuesday.

Unfortunately, neither the event website nor the event facebook page contain any race information this morning UTC, and we assume, that racing will commence only today, Tuesday June 25th.
