Windsurfing - Engadine Surf Marathon/Wind-Foil World Championship - Silvaplana SUI - Final results, NED/FRA/AUS on Wind Foil Worlds podium The Engadine Surf Marathon was aired livestream on our website last Saturday and yesterday, the full ranking list inclcuding the Kiteboarders, Windsurfers and Moths was posted. 83 of 119 participants from 23 nations and 4 continents (without North America) finished the race with the Foil Kiters occupying the first 8 ranks and Bruce Kessler SUI on 1st ahead of Matthias Meier SUI and Mike Martin SUI. First Foil Windsurfer was the Olympic Silver Medalist 2008 Julien Bontemps FRA on the 9th place just followed by Elia Colombo SUI on 10th. For the Foiler-Moth, the wind was not strong enough and the best-ranked Philipp Käsermann SUI finished 36th. ----- The ranking list. ---------- Yesterday Sunday, the Wind Foil World Championship was concluded with two races. A third race had to be abandoned as the wind died during the final downwind, lucky for Luuc Van Oopzeeland NED, down in the fleet, who would have lost the title to Julien Bontemps FRA. The title went therefore to the Dutch ahead of the French and Steve Allen AUS. 70 participants from 19 nations and 3 continents. No North Americans. ----- The ranking list and the event website with all other ranking lists.
