 A In 15-20 knots there was an eventful day in Hamilton yesterday: Already in the first race Team Japan (Nathan Outteridge AUS) and Team USA (Jimmy Spithill AUS) collided after an emergency tack by the Japanese, both had to stop the day with damage, Team USA even capsized - the video of the collision. Team Australia with Tom Slingsby AUS once again showed their superiority with the day's ranks 1 and 2 in the Fleetraces. Together with Team France (Billy Besson FRA) and Team GBR (Ben Ainslie GBR) the Australians qualified for the final. In an intense and exciting race, Ben Ainslie GBR managed to beat the Australians by just 4 seconds to win the GP of Bermuda. The report and the event website.

 F50-Catamaran - SailGP - Hamilton BER - Day 1 - Team Australia dominates again, Team USA in 4th The 2021 SailGP started on Bermuda yesterday with three races held in a good sea breeze. ----- Team Australia with Tom Slingsby AUS continued their last year's dominance by winning all 3 races. Team France with Billy Besson FRA and Team Japan with Nathan Outteridge AUS are tied for second place. Team USA with Jimmy Spithill AUS is in 4th rank. The newcomer Team New Zealand with the America's Cup winners Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL had a hard time and are at the bottom of the rankings. ----- The report with results.
