 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2021 - Al Mussanah OMN - Final results Yesterday, the World Championships of the three Olympic speed classes came to an end in Oman with the last final regattas and the Medal Races. ----- Thanks to the victory in the Medal Race, Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED secured the title in the 49ers with a 2 point lead over Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER. Bronze goes to Frederik Rask/Jakob Precht DEN. ----- Dutch victory by Odile Van Aanholt/Elise Ruyter NED also in the 49ersFX. Helene Naess/Marie Ronningen NOR and Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA take the other medals. ----- In the Nacra 17, Olympic silver medallists John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR secured the title ahead of Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilai ITA and Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER. ----- The final report with the video of the Medal Races and the event-website with all rankings.

 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2021 - Al Mussanah OMN - Day 5 Light winds yesterday allowed only two more races each. The Dutch continue to dominate in the Skiffs: Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED lead the 49ers now 8 points ahead of Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER. Two more final races and the Medal Race are on the agenda today. ----- With two more race wins, Maxime Bachelin/Arno De Planta SUI continue to dominate the Silverfleet and are 26th overall. ----- Odile Van Aanholt/Elise Ruyter NED extended their lead in the 49ersFX to 17 points. Helen Naess/Marie Ronningen NOR and just 3 points behind Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA follow in second and third. ----- In the Nacra 17, John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR have taken the lead with Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilai ITA following 6 points behind. In inconsistent winds, the 49ers sailed the first final races in Gold and Silverfleet yesterday. ----- Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED held on to the lead, with Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER 2 points behind remaining in the title race. Best of the day, Kevin Fischer/Noë Delpech FRA, moved up to rank 3 with a 6 point backlog. ----- In the 49ersFX, Odile Van Aanholt/Elise Ruyter NED are now leading 6 points ahead of Helen Naess/Marie Ronnibgen NOR. The Olympic champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA have moved up to the third place, 12 points behind. ----- In the Nacra 17, Junior World Champions Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilei ITA hold their own ahead of Olympic medalists John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR (2 points behind) and Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER (7 points behind). ----- All rankings and the daily report. In the freshest winds so far with a decent wave, the qualifications for the Gold- and Silverfleet were completed yesterday with 3 more races. ----- Best of the day (2/2/5), Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED moved to the top of the 49ers. Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER and Jakob Meggendorfer/Andreas Spranger GER follow close behind in second and third. To the delight of the crowd, Musab Al Hadi/Waleed Al Kindi OMA in 25th qualified for the Goldfleet of a major event for the first time. ------ Close together at the top of the 49ersFX are Helene Naess/Marie Ronningen NOR one point ahead of Odile Van Aanholt/Elise Ruyter NED, with Ronja Grönblom/Veera Hokka FIN and Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA sharing third place on equal points. ---- In the Nacra 17, Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER have taken the lead 2 points ahead of John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR. The second day of the joint World Championships of the three Olympic speed classes saw again a moderate seabreeze allowing each fleet to complete 3 races. ----- In the 49ers, the junior team Otto Henry/Miles Davey AUS took the lead ahead of Jakob Meggendorger/Andreas Spranger GER tied on points. Third place is shared by Robert Dickson/Sean Waddilove IRL and Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER. ----- In the 49ersFX, Odile Van Aanholt/Elise Ruyter NED moved on top 5 points ahead of Helene Naess/Marie Ronningen NOR. ----- In the Nacra 17, the experienced teams moved ahead: Vittorio Bisarro/Maelle Frascari ITA lead by 2 points over Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER and John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR tied on points. ----- The daily report with links to the rankings and the video of the day.lll

The joint world championship of the three olympic speed classes starts today in Oman. ----- In the 49er, 36 teams from 20 nations are at the start. ----- In the 49er FX, 22 teams from 17 nations are competing. Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA are the big favorites. ----- In the Nacra 17, 15 teams from 12 nations participate.
